NLNG's CEB SHL-Style Reasoning Online Tests

In the numerical test, you will encounter numerical data in the form of a table or a graph, followed by multiple-choice questions relating to them. Answering the questions often requires you to show basic math aptitude and to perform calculations involving fractions, percentages, ratios, and conversions.

For the CEB SHL verbal test, you will read short passages of text and answer questions relating to each passage. Each question will require you to quickly evaluate whether a statement is true, false, or indeterminable based on the text.

NLNG's Assessment Centre

The purpose of the NLNG assessment centre is to evaluate applicants in their suitability for the position being offered in an objective manner. The assessment centre will either be held on-site or in a rented-out venue and can last anywhere from two full days to half a day.

The exercises and tests you will likely encounter at the NLNG assessment centre fall into the following categories: Group exercise, in-tray exercise, role play exercise, case study-based analysis exercise, personality questionnaire, psychometric ability test, and a competency-based interview.

The activities and assessments you will be participating in are used to measure your communication skills, decision-making abilities, interpersonal sensitivity, leadership abilities, your level of motivation/ resilience, strategic thinking skills, and time management. What Skills Do NLNG's tests measure?

Numerical reasoning tests are designed to look at the range of skills and abilities needed to perform almost any job. Basic maths or computations skills, such as the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), percentages, and ratios, to name a few, are all needed on a daily basis. Being able to understand and analyse graphs and other numerical data is necessary for many graduate and management tests. If you work in the finance or banking sector, financial reasoning skills are a must.

What is NLNG's Hiring Process Like?

Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's hiring processes follow similar patterns for each type of recruitment, but the exercises you will encounter depend on the level you are applying to. There are also some differences at each level between technical recruitment and business roles. You can be requested for interviews, to complete aptitude tests, and to attend an assessment centre.

How Should I Conduct Myself in NLNG's Group Exercise?

Many applicants have a genuine difficulty showing an adequate level of involvement in the group exercise in the assessment centre and demonstrating their skills in an optimal manner. Some tend to be overly dominant and loud fearing that otherwise they may not be heard and valued. Others are introverted and quiet, fearing that their contribution may not be significant enough in comparison to others.
