The Hiring Process at Villeroy & Boch?

The hiring process, which could take 4 weeks, requires you to take some tests, prior to coming to the interviews. These are usually online assessments which focus on testing your basic skills like language, typing and communication, as well as some basic math. If you look closely at their job applications, you will see that there are a number of skills that all candidates are required to have, and these are:

  • Effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Effective communications and customer service skills
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as a part of a team

 

The Interviews at Villeroy & Boch?

Depending on the job you are trying to land at Villeroy & Boch, you may be required to participate in several of the following interviews:

  • A phone interview, which will be conducted via phone and can take between 15-30 minutes. You will go over you resume, and be asked questions regarding your salary expectations, availability etc. If you successfully pass this interview, you will be either invited to participate in a video interview or an initial face to face interview.
  • A video interview, which will be done through Skype. This interview will assess you more closely. It usually has behavioural based questions, however some technical questions may come up.
  • A face-to-face interview, which is a series of interviews, usually three with multiple people. These will include the HR representative, your direct superior and the head of the department.
  • A group interview, which may hold between 10-40 candidates simultaneously. Each candidate will be asked questions in front of the other candidates by multiple interviewers. The purpose of these is usually to save time for the interviewers and see how candidates do under pressure. These types of interviews may last more than an hour.

 

The Tests at Villeroy & Boch?

During the hiring process at Villeroy & Boch, you will be required to pass certain tests. What specific tests? It all depends on what you are applying for and they will include two or more of the following:

  • The Cut-e assessment. It can be further divided into numerical and verbal tests. The Cut-e numerical reasoning test assesses how well candidates retrieve information and draw logical conclusions from numerical data presented in tables and charts. Altogether there are 37 statements to be evaluated in 12 minutes. The verbal tests assesses the ability to retrieve information and draw logical conclusions from verbal data. There are 49 questions to be answered within 12 minutes.
  • An online personality test which needs to be completed before having the face-to-face interview.
