Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions

What Skills Do Delhaize Verbal Tests Measure?

Verbal reasoning tests examine you on a range of English language abilities. These skills can be broken down into the following groups: Critical Reasoning, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. Vocabulary assessments assess your understanding of the words that are utilised in your field. This is measured through different assessments, like, spelling tests, complete the sentence tests, mixed sentences tests and more. Grammar tests evaluate your perception of English grammar and your aptitude to recognise good or bad grammar. Grammar is measured through questions that expect you to complete a sentence or identify the correct next sentence in a paragraph.

Comprehension tests are created to examine your ability to work with written information, analyse it, and interpret what you have read to respond to the questions. Critical Reasoning tests evaluate how you analyse the information provided to you. In the context of verbal reasoning tests, critical reasoning tests require that you recognise whether a statement is true or false based on the information provided, or whether the information in front of you is not sufficient enough to come to a conclusion.

Is Being Consistent Important on Delhaize Personality Tests?

Being consistent is highly important when taking a personality assessment test. On personality tests, you may see similar questions only worded differently. Answering these similar questions differently will be reflected in your results. For example, it could seem to assessors as if you weren’t completely honest when answering the questions and for this, you may be rejected. However, you should not focus on being consistent as it is not measured. It becomes a problem only if you significantly contradict yourself; for instance, answering "agree" to "I'm never late" and "I have a tendency to be late to some meeting." At times during the test, you may find similar statements but not agree or disagree with all of them; in this scenario, it is not a problem to answer differently. For example, answering "agree" to both "I prefer working with people rather than working along" and "Sometimes, I need some alone time."

How Can I Prepare for My Delhaize SJT?

Before completing the assessment research the employer. Companies usually promote their agenda or stress their views of service and sales in their publications. Try to find out the qualities that are highly valued by the employer in the role you are targeting.

What Skills Do Delhaize Numerical Tests Measure?

Numerical reasoning tests are designed to examine the range of abilities and skills needed to accomplish almost any job. Basic maths or computations skills, such as the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), percentages, and ratios, to name a few, are all essential on a daily basis. Being able to comprehend and analyse graphs and other numerical data is necessary for many graduate and management positions. If you work in the finance or banking sector, financial reasoning skills are a must. As part of the application process, technical jobs often exoect applicants to have speed and concentration when working with numerical data. Critical reasoning is necessary for many high-level positions, while estimation skills are also a big advantage in many jobs.

How Should I Conduct Myself in Delhaize Group Group Exercise?

Many applicants struggle to show an adequate level of involvement in the group exercise in the assessment day and demonstrating their skills in an appropriate manner. Some tend to be overly dominant and loud fearing that otherwise they may not be acknowledged. Others can be more quiet, being afraid that their contribution may not be good enough in comparison to others. You should find a balance that not only fits your character but also that of the employers. See our PrepPack™ for further tips.
