Ametek Interview Process

From field engineers to HR, Material Handler to Program managers, and Pre-Sales Engineers to Manufacturing Business Analysts the Ametek interview process will be challenging and competitive. To help you start preparing, here are some tips to help you get started.

Phone Interview

The interview process will begin with a phone interview. You will be asked very standard questions regarding your CV, abilities, work history and be given an overview of the position.

Facility Tour

The next stage is a tour of the facilities. This is important as it will allow you to meet team members, ask solid questions and show your interest. They will also take you out to lunch to get to know you better and remember this is very much part of your interview.

Now comes the proper interview with the hiring manager. They will ask comprehensive questions regarding your soft and hard skills, work history and ask you a wide range of simulation questions to ensure you can back up your claims.

Interview Question to Think About

  • Q. What did you leave out of your CV?
  • A. If you left out a bad work experience, then do not bring it up. Talk about a soft-skill you have yet to mention and somehow tie it into the job specs. Or you can explain your motivation for wanting the job.

CEB’s SHL Testing

The CEB numerical reasoning tests can come in several versions from the basic operational level to high-level graduate. The purpose of the test will be to expose your knowledge or lack thereof in basic mathematics, including various calculations like conversions, percentages, fractions and ratios.

CEB’s SHL Verbal Reasoning

The purpose of this test will be to check your reasoning, logic, inference, and vocabulary knowledge. You will have to choose from True, False, and Cannot Say to respond to a textual argument. There will be 30 questions in total.
