TfNSW’s Hiring Process
Depending on which position you are applying for, your application process can be between 3 to 5 weeks. Most past candidates reported that although the overall experience is positive, there are aspects that aren’t pleasurable as listed below:
Online Resume Submission: Most candidates apply online through TfNSW’s main website. Here you can upload your CV. After the upload, be prepared to answer questions such as, why you are suited for this position and what learning framework have you implemented.
Questionnaire: After applying online, you will be asked to fill out a few assessment tests which likely will involve numerical, logic, psychometric, verbal and diagrammatic questions. For that, you can use the help of the Diagrammatic test.
Interview Screening: Good news, you likely will have short 5-10 minutes interviews in with various people. Bad news, the interview process can be overwhelming. Depending on the position you apply for, you potentially could have one or two additional people sitting in the back of the room, writing down your responses. Questions can revolve around behavioural.
Assessment Centre: For TfNSW’s Assessment Centre, you can expect to do various assessment examinations, followed by personal and group interviews. Depending on which branch you are interviewing for, the interviews are broken-up into stations. You will likely have a number and go from station A to B to C or reverse that order. Lastly, you will do group exercises that will involve role-playing and scenarios.
(Pre) Employment: If TfNSW is happy with your process thus far, congratulations, you likely will be called back for final checks and sign the company contract.
