Palisade Numerical Test

The purpose of pre-hire math tests is to assess a candidate’s ability to accurately and comfortably complete mathematical functions and interpret data. Your ability to understand and analyse graphs and other numerical data is necessary for many lines of work. Depending on your job level or the position you have applied for, the level of mathematics you will be tested on can vary.


The Palisade Verbal Reasoning Test

The Verbal Reasoning Test – This test is a variety of aptitude assessment that estimates how well job candidates understand and analyze written information. It measures whether they can follow a text’s argumentative verbal logic and discriminate between important and secondary information presented in it. Their understanding of the text’s general meaning is estimated as well. On the Verbal Reasoning Test, job candidates are asked to read several short passages and judge a truth-value of statements that immediately follow them. After you have identified the relation of each proposition to truth, you will be required to mark these statements either as “True” or “False.” There are also statements whose truth-value is impossible to assess due to the insufficiency of information presented in the text. If this is the case, you will need to mark a statement under consideration as “Indeterminate.” The Verbal Reasoning Test is timed; no extra time is given to those who have not finished it within a prescribed time limit.


Palisade SJT Test

The Palisade Situational Judgement Test or SJT is used as a means to gauge your ability to approach real-life work conflicts and scenarios accordingly. You will be tasked with choosing the most and least effective responses, or to rank them in order based on their effectiveness. The Palisade SJT will assess a number of invaluable workplace skills. This test is usually comprised of 100 or more questions which measure 32 specific traits.


Palisade Personality Test

A strong handshake is not all you need in order to land your dream job. Palisade also administer a personality test, as part of the hiring process. The tests generally range around 200 questions and give the employer a stronger sense of whether you are the right personality for the position and the company work culture at large. True, while there are no right and wrong answers, the tests are designed to measure your creativity, honesty, ethics and overall personality.

After you have submitted your résumé and cover letter, you will be contacted by a Human Resources representative. This a phone interview, the first among other interviews that you may have, if you succeed on your pre-employment test. In your phone interview with the HR representative, you will discuss your educational background, your working experience, and your career goals. You may also talk about the Palisade, the organization of its business, and the benefits you will receive, if you are hired. The phone interview may last from 20 to 40 minutes.
