Let’s get Hired:

Before beginning the hiring process, it is important to first get a feel for what the hiring process may look like. As a starting point, let’s look at the hiring process for an Admin role.

Administrative Interview Process:

  • The CV: When putting together your CV, keep in mind that the company will delve deeply into your past and skills. So, make sure that you can answer to all claims on the CV.
  • The Interview: The interview will include both a HR manager and the hiring manager. They will be particularly interested in your skill-sets, especially Microsoft Excel and Access. So, be particular to brush up on those programs before the interview. Moreover, the interview will focus on your personality, they will try to truly discover the real you.

Questions to Anticipate: During the Interview:

Note that the interview question may be divided into four categories: Skills, experience, preference and general questions. Let’s take a look at one example from each category.

  • Skills: Can you touch type or shorthand? Remember that the job is all about streamlining the process as much as possible to accomplish as much in as short of a time frame as possible.
  • Experience: How would your role as Admin affect the overall office dynamics? When answering this question remember that you are the facilitator, which makes everything run smoothly.
  • Preference: Are you a good multitasker? Remember that if you cannot juggle numerous tasks in a day, the job may not be for you. Give clear examples of how you succeeded in organizing and executing your responsibilities
