Here a few interview questions and answer you should be thinking about before the interview.

  • What are your strengths? When answering this question you want to go into sales mode. You have to sell them that you are the best person for the job by talking about both the hard and soft skill sets you bring to the table. While adding a story or two, make sure that you examples match what the job description is looking for.
  • What are your weaknesses? Again, you want to choose a weakness that relates to the job description, but that is not something which would disqualify you. For instance, if you are going for a position that is primarily admin, describe how you were once limited in your knowledge of Microsoft Excel, but since you are a self-starter, you taught yourself the program, which has in turn made your work more efficient.
  • Where do you see yourself in five years? This question is always difficult one to answer. Kind of side-track the question by stating why you want the job, and how you feel it will advance your career. Let them know that you short-term goal is to become in expert in your job, so that if the opportunity presents itself you can move into a leadership role.
