Watson Glaser Saville-Style Vodafone Managerial Online Tests

The Watson Glaser test is divided into five sections:
Section 1: Inference. This section assesses your ability to draw conclusions from observed or supposed facts, on a scale of certainty (true/probably true/insufficient data/probably false/false).
Section 2: Recognizing Assumptions. This section measures your ability to recognize whether an assumption was made in a text or not (assumption made/not made).
Section 3: Deduction. This section tests your ability to weigh information and decide whether given conclusions are warranted, formal logic style (conclusion follows/does not follow).
Section 4: Interpretation. This section is similar to the previous section (conclusion follows/does not follow), but does not involve formal logic, and has a different set of rules.
Section 5: Evaluation of Arguments this section assesses your ability to evaluate the strength of an argument (strong/weak argument).

This test is considered difficult, and exceling it requires a lot of practice, in order to sharpen these skills and get to know the inner logic of the test. Depending on the version, it consists of either 40 or 80 questions and takes half an hour to an hour to complete – respectively.

Vodafone Managerial Recruitment Process

Vodafone's managerial hiring process has several stages. After submitting your CV, you will be invited to complete a number of online aptitude tests, including numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, and logical reasoning tests. You will also be asked to complete the Saville Wave personality test. Upon successfully completing the tests, you will be invited to participate in a telephone interview. If you pass this stage, you will be asked to participate in an assessment centre at Vodafone. If you perform successfully at the assessment centre as well as at an in-person interview, you can expect to get an offer.  

Application Process

The company’s pre-employment assessment starts with an online application. You are welcome to upload your résumé and a cover letter to the company’s website. After your documents have been screened, you will be invited for a phone interview with a Human Resources manager, who will ask you questions about your education, working history, and career goals.
