About VHA PrepPacks™

During the recruitment process, you'll be asked to take a number of different VHA tests. You are asked to complete these tests online. These tests are in general provided by CEB SHL. How Can I Improve My Score on VHA Verbal Aptitude Tests?

Verbal ability—namely, comprehension, vocabulary, and interpretation—can be improved through practice. Simply taking practice tests and gaining exposure to the types of questions you will experience on the real test can relax you, improve your confidence, and increase your speed and accuracy. However, understanding the underpinning principles of the tests and what you are doing right and wrong will contribute even more to your success. The key elements to keep in mind when preparing for a verbal reasoning test are as follows:

  • Accuracy in answering questions
  • The speed at which you answer (most verbal reasoning tests are time-limited)
  • Understanding the passage and how to answer the questions

Is Being Consistent Important on Personality Tests?

Being consistent is very important when taking a personality assessment test. On personality tests, you may be asked similar questions that are worded differently. If you answer these similar questions differently, it will be reflected in your results. For instance, it could appear to assessors as if you did not answer both questions completely honestly, which may result in you not getting the job. However, being consistent is not something you need to focus on, as it is not measured. It is a problem only if you significantly contradict yourself; for example, answering "agree" to "I'm never late" and "I have a tendency to be late to some meeting." At times during the test, you may encounter similar statements but not agree or disagree with all of them; in this case, it is fine to answer differently. For example, answering "agree" to both "I prefer working with people rather than working along" and "Sometimes, I need some alone time."

How Can I prepare for my VHA SJT?

Before taking the test read about the employer. Companies usually publish an agenda or highlight in their publications their views of service and sales. Try to find out the competencies that are highly valued by the employer in the position you are applying for.

How Long Does VHA Assessment Day Last?

Assessment centres usually consist of a four to eight-hour schedule over one or two days, although, in some rare cases, they may last for three days. The exact schedule for each employer varies for the simple reason that every company does things its own way.

How Are VHA CEB SHL Tests Scored?

VHA CEB SHL aptitude tests are usually comprised of multiple-choice questions. The possible marks for each question are correct, incorrect, and unanswered. When you submit an VHA aptitude test, your answers are first measured against the correct answers. Then, your correct answers are counted, and the rate of correct answers is calculated.
