Test Features

The cut-e Numeracy test (also known as "scales eql") is essentially a simple calculation test. It is used to measure your basic numerical ability using problems that contain missing variables. In order to find the value of these variables, you will be required of:

  • Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Using the correct order of operations (BODMAS rules)
  • Manipulating equations

The questions range from straightforward to quite difficult.

What Is Tested?

Calculation tests measure your ability to calculate and manipulate numbers quickly and accurately. The test is a threshold toward any job that requires arithmetic proficiency, including service positions, commercial professions, cashiers, payroll and timekeeping, secretarial, sales, and quality control jobs.

In What Way Is the cut-e Numeracy Test Unique?

Although all calculation tests are similar in nature, there are different formats administered by the different assessment companies. As with their other products, cut-e stand out with a distinguished style here as well. Their test is more of a logical thinking task than a simple arithmetic one. All of the variables of the equation are missing, so that the result and operators are the only available information. Your task is to figure out which set of numbers can make the equation work.
