About Adecco PrepPacks™

JobTestPrep helps you in preparing for Adecco's recruitment processes. The different preparation packages on this page are designed to offer you an in-depth understanding of the tests you may come to take as part of the Adecco application process.

Adecco CEB SHL-Style Numerical Reasoning Online Tests

CEB SHL Numerical Reasoning Online Test In this test, you will encounter numerical data in the form of a table or a graph, followed by multiple-choice questions relating to them. Answering the questions often requires you to show basic math aptitude and to perform calculations involving fractions, percentages, ratios, and conversions.

Adecco CEB SHL-Style Verbal Reasoning Online Tests

For the CEB SHL verbal test, you will read short passages of text and answer questions relating to each passage. Each question will require you to quickly evaluate whether a statement is true, false, or indeterminable based on the text.

Adecco Situational Judgement Tests

Situational Judgment Tests (SJTs) are a popular psychological tool used by assessment companies, employers, and organisations to evaluate applicants' behavioural and cognitive abilities when introduced with hypothetical, daily work-related situations. SJTs do not consist of one uniform format and do not focus on strict criteria, but rather they serve as a tailored evaluation tool for a variety of positions and business sectors. Therefore, different companies and diverse positions within an organisation require different questions and formats.

Adecco Personality Tests

There are different kinds of questions found on personality assessment tests. When given a statement with extreme statements such as "always" and "never," you should answer them with less extreme answers such as "agree" and "not strongly agree." However, there are times during a personality test in which you should choose "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree.

Adecco Microsoft Office Tests

The Microsoft Office assessment is usually comprised of several different tests, but it most commonly involves a Microsoft Excel test accompanied by a Microsoft Word test. Sometimes you will encounter a typing test as well. These tests often come in two different difficulty levels — basic and intermediate-advanced. Each test, regardless of its difficulty level, contains topics involving both fundamental skills as well as more sophisticated ones. What sets these tests apart is the number of questions relating to each level of Microsoft Office skills.

Adecco Microsoft Excel Assessments

The Excel User Test enables employers to carefully assess a candidate's Microsoft Excel skills, as well as to decide if they are qualified for the offered position. There are typically between 10 and 25 questions per test.

Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions

How Are Adecco CEB's SHL Tests Scored?

Adecco CEB's SHL aptitude tests are usually comprised of multiple-choice questions. The possible marks for each question are correct, incorrect, and unanswered. When you submit an Adecco aptitude test, your answers are first measured against the correct answers. Then, your correct answers are counted, and the rate of correct answers is calculated.

Is Being Consistent Important on Personality Tests?

Being consistent is very important when taking a personality assessment test. On personality tests, you may be asked similar questions that are worded differently. If you answer these similar questions differently, it will be reflected in your results. For instance, it could appear to assessors as if you did not answer both questions completely honestly, which may result in you not getting the job. However, being consistent is not something you need to focus on, as it is not measured. It is a problem only if you significantly contradict yourself; for example, answering "agree" to "I'm never late" and "I have a tendency to be late to some meeting." At times during the test, you may encounter similar statements but not agree or disagree with all of them; in this case, it is fine to answer differently. For example, answering "agree" to both "I prefer working with people rather than working along" and "Sometimes, I need some alone time."

How Can I Prepare for My Adecco SJT?

Before taking the test read about the employer. Companies usually publish an agenda or highlight in their publications their views of service and sales. Try to find out the competencies that are highly valued by the employer in the position you are applying for.

What Skills Do Adecco Numerical Tests Measure?

Numerical reasoning tests are designed to look at the range of skills and abilities needed to perform almost any job. Basic maths or computations skills, such as the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), percentages, and ratios, to name a few, are all needed on a daily basis. Being able to understand and analyse graphs and other numerical data is necessary for many graduate and management positions. If you work in the finance or banking sector, financial reasoning skills are a must. As part of the hiring process, technical jobs often require applicants to have speed and concentration when working with numerical data. Critical reasoning is necessary for many high-level positions, while estimation skills are also a big advantage in many jobs.

How Should I Conduct Myself in Adecco Group Exercise?

Many applicants have a genuine difficulty showing an adequate level of involvement in the group exercise in the assessment centre and demonstrating their skills in an optimal manner. Some tend to be overly dominant and loud fearing that otherwise they may not be heard and valued. Others are introvert and quiet, fearing that their contribution may not be significant enough in comparison to others. You have to find a balance that not only suits your character but also that of the employers. For further tips see our PrepPack™.

How Long Does Adecco Assessment Day Last?

Assessment centres usually consist of a four to eight-hour schedule over one or two days, although, in some rare cases, they may last for three days. The exact schedule for each employer varies for the simple reason that every company does things its own way.
