JobTestPrep's HMRC Aptitude Test PrepPack™ covers many different subjects. Every single practice test included will help to improve your skills. This will give you the confidence to show your best self when you come to take the actual tests.

The different tests you will take as part of the HMRC aptitude test are enumerated below.

## HMRC Numerical Reasoning Test

In this test, you are presented with a number of different graphs and tables. Using the information provided, you must analyse and calculate the answer to the questions, normally through the use of percentages, ratios, and other numerical rules.

## HMRC Verbal Reasoning Test

For this test, you are presented with a text of information. Often, the subject matter is based on the position you are applying for, but this is by no means always the case. Frequently, the texts are quite esoteric and the questions and statements on them are difficult to comprehend for the untrained eye. You are presented with a statement and, based on the text, you must decide whether it is is true, false, or cannot say.

## HMRC Deductive Reasoning Test

The HMRC deductive reasoning test assesses how well you can draw logical conclusions from a series of premises, all of which are known to be true. There are several key skills examined in this test, including your logic skills, how well you can use data to come to an answer, and how good you are at identifying flaws in an argument. You can learn more about deductive reasoning test practice here.

## HMRC SIFT Test

In this test, you are presented with many different scenarios. You must choose out of four or five different choices what you are likely to do in these situations. Your task is to select what you would do the most and what you would do the least. This is actually a situational judgement test, and preparation for it is included in this PrepPack™.

## HMRC Work Style Questionnaire

This is by far the longest of the HMRC tests. Whereas the other two tests contain 20 questions each, this test is comprised of 150 items. Thes Work Style Questionnaire is more commonly known as a personality test. You are presented with a number of different statements and characteristics, and it is your task to determine whether you possess them or not. Practising in advance provides you with an understanding of how to choose the best answer when taking the real test.
