This special Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test PrepPack™ includes two full-length BMCT-style practice tests based on both the original BMCT as well as the latest version - BMCT-II. This pack covers mechanical aptitude topics found on both tests and can be taken in two modes: timed and step-by-step. The timed version of the tests allows you to practice under similar conditions to the real thing, while the step-by-step mode allows you to learn-as-you-go with full answer explanations.

The purpose of the BMCT is to gauge your level of knowledge and ability to apply several different mechanical and physical concepts. The vague nature of the questions found in this pack is intentional and mimics the questions found on the actual test. This question style is favored as it forces candidates to assess each question in order to apply the necessary concepts and formulas to derive solutions. Each practice test contains 55 questions which coincide with the new BMCT-II format.

By purchasing this PrepPack™ you will also receive dozens of additional sample questions, a study guide containing invaluable information for passing your test, and solutions for both mechanical and electrical reasoning. Use or exclusive BMCT-style preparation materials to improve your mechanical skills and boost your chances of success. Start preparing today.

What This Pack Can Do for You

Our 2019 Bennett Mechanical-style pack was designed to familiarise you with each of the topics covered during this test. This comprehensive PrepPack™ accounts for the difficulty of the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test and the vague nature of its questions. Bennett Mechanical Comprehension FAQ's

Why Should I Practice for This Test?

Practising for the BMCT could be the difference between scoring below or above the average for your profession. According to Pearson, if you practise prior to this exam, you will be able to raise your score by 4 or more points. 4 points may not seem like much, however, this increase in points has the ability to show your employer whether you are scoring at the same level as a sales representative or at the level of an engineer. Increasing your BMCT score will help demonstrate your value to the company you have applied to.

What Is the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT)?

The Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT), developed by Pearson Assessments, is a popular assessment used in several fields, including technical and industrial occupations. The test was developed to measure a person’s aptitude for understanding and applying mechanical principles. From this, an employer may infer future performance in jobs that require these skills.

What Are the Benefits of Doing Well on the Test?

Scoring high on the BMCT displays good spatial perception and mechanical reasoning ability. It also displays your knowledge of basic mechanical operations and physical laws, as well as an aptitude for learning mechanical processes and tasks. This, in turn, shows employers that you are a qualified candidate, thus heightening your chances of getting the job you applied for.

What Are the Challenges to Passing?

The BMCT is a timed test. On the BMCT II, you need to answer 55 questions in 25 minutes. By practicing for the test, you can improve your timing and answer accuracy during the exam.

Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT) Test Format & Content

There are two versions of the BMCT: BMCT and BMCT II.

The BMCT consists of 68 multiple-choice questions and has a 30-minute time limit. It can be administered on paper or online and is available in two forms, Form S and Form T.

The updated BMCT II consists of 55 multiple-choice questions and has a 25-minute time limit. It is administered online only.

The Bennett Mechanical Test is used to identify individuals with good mechanical reasoning abilities and spatial perception. For those who plan to take the BMCT, it is important to be familiar with basic concepts in physics as well as physics terminology.
