The first test you will be sent is the situational judgement test. This test is designed to assess your responses to hypothetical situations similar to experiences you may encounter in your working life. If you pass the situational judgement test, you will be invited to take a verbal reasoning test. Verbal reasoning tests help employers measure candidates’ abilities to comprehend, analyse and interpret written text. The tests will ask you questions based on a passage or a piece of information. Timed conditions may add to the pressure placed on answering these questions. Practice is key to helping you get a good enough score to pass the test. The next stage of the application process is the telephone interview. This interview will be a competency based interview with a member of the graduate recruitment team. The interview is designed to draw out your abilities and skills against key competencies. As the interview is on the telephone, feel free to prepare written notes with answers to some of the questions you feel could come up (or the list below).
