Adstream Abstract Reasoning Online Assessments

The abstract reasoning test is also known as inductive or diagrammatic reasoning and assesses general intellect rather than text book knowledge. Via administering this test, Adstream will be looking to see how you relate to new concepts and abstract ideas and can be used to asses a wide range of positions within the company. So, be creative, quick and use your fluid intelligence to solve the issues you will be confronted with on the test. Adstream will administer an abstract reasoning test containing symbols, diagrams and shapes to test your problem-solving abilities in two primary areas.

  • Commonalities – You must discern how various symbols relate to one another in either color, symmetry, size or markings.
  • Patterns – This segment of the test challenges your ability to pick up on sequences, for instance, how a symbol might repeat perhaps vertically or horizontally.

Make a list of points that highlight of your past achievements and write open ended questions to learn as much as you can about the company, division and how management operates. Remember that the interview is two ways, while they interview you, you should interview them as well. When faced with questions regarding your weaknesses, be open and honest, but also demonstrate how you resolve or work around them efficiently as possible.

Adstream Assessment Centre Proceedings

Assessment Centres have lately gained popularity in many countries as a more efficient way to select new employees. Many companies have come to believe that job candidates do not show their true personalities and professional qualities on tests and during interviews. More fully their professionalism is revealed in the Assessment Centre, where they are required to participate in numerous activities. Job candidates spend a day or even two days participating in group discussions, playing roles according to pre-given scenarios, making short presentations on different topics related to their jobs, engaging in social events and case studies. There is also testing in the Assessment Centre. Applicants take personality tests and various assessments evaluating their analytical skills, reading and numerical comprehension, and decision making, among other skills. Job events organized in the Assessment Centre are highly intense and may be stressful. Unsuccessful candidates are sent home after each stage of evaluation. Only few prospective employees are invited to have a conversation with a company’s high managers and become employed.

All You Need to Know Before Launching Your Job Search

How are Adstream Verbal Reasoning Tests Scored?

Like other aptitude tests, the Verbal Reasoning Test does not have a passing score. This does not mean, however, that you cannot fail your exam. Quite the contrary, sometimes, even if you answer correctly most of given questions, you may be told that you have done badly. The reason for this stems from a peculiar system used to score applicants’ results on the Verbal Reasoning Test. When you take this test, your scores are compared to a benchmark that includes scores of other job candidates competing for similar positions in a similar field. This scoring method allows employers to evaluate your verbal skills in relation to other employees working in the position for which you applied. Such scoring may place you at a decided disadvantage, even if you answer most of the questions on the test correctly. If other job candidates with whom you are compared get more questions right, your score will be considered lower than average, no matter how few mistakes you made.

What is the Adstream SJT Looking for?

This is always the first question that comes to mind when taking the test. The test is primarily looking to uncover you react in various professional situations by combing a mix of street and book smart questions. Professional, managerial, graduate and executive level applicants will each face their own verbal or numerical variations of the test , so the organization can weed out those who continue in the process. Lastly, there is no room for error, as you must work quickly to fill all the ticks in the right boxes.

What Is the Adstream’s Phone Interview?

After you have submitted your résumé and cover letter, you will be contacted by a Human Resources representative. This a phone interview, the first among other interviews that you may have, if you succeed on your pre-employment test. In your phone interview with the HR representative, you will discuss your educational background, your working experience, and your career goals.
