Ervia Recruitment Tests

The hiring process could take up to 2 months and it involves at least three sets of face-to-face interviews as well as skill testing. The interviews are primarily technical, but a personal interview will also take place.

The tests are there to assess your specific skills, relevant to the position you are applying for, as well as several general tests that are aimed at testing other skills, such as your verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills. These are usually tested through the:

  • Verbal Comprehension Test, which assesses your written and verbal communication skills and how quickly and accurately you analyze texts. Additionally, they measure how you organize, present, and reassess information.
  • In-tray exercise items, which are designed to measure job skills such as the ability to organize and prioritize work; analytical skills; communication with team members and customers; written communication skills; and delegation. Candidates are provided with in-tray items and briefing information regarding the company they work for, their position and other key employees. The in-tray exercise consists of two parts: 1) Reading and assimilating all the information contained in the in-tray items and briefing materials. 2) Answering questions that focus on the prioritization of the items and the responses and decisions that should be taken.

Ervia Interviews

Apart from the written tests, there will be interviews. As stated above, these will include both technical and personal interviews. The technical interviews are specific to the job you are applying for. The personality interviews are primarily to test the following skills:

  • The ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
  • The ability to deal effectively with a difference of opinion and managing conflict
  • The ability to take initiative and completing projects
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Furthermore, there is a chance that you will be subjected to case interviews, which begin by interviewers posing a question, challenge, or situation that candidates are expected to solve. In this scenario, candidates are given background information and are then expected to ask interviewers questions that will help them either understand the issue (by collecting more information) or solve the problem. Employers and interviewers are assessing candidates' ability to analyze information and act on it; they want employees who can both listen to and work well with instructions while still being independent and productive. Sometimes case interviews can be given both individually or in group exercises, but regardless of team size, interviewers are assessing the same things—analytical judgment, numerical and verbal reasoning skills, communication and presentation skills, and overall business and professional awareness.
