Dolphin Drilling Interview Preparation

You may have to appear for more than one interview. The second one might consist of a higher-ranking manager, a presentation or assignment you are required to present, more advanced professional questions, or further details which the Dolphin Drilling recruiters feel they need to discuss with you or learn about you. In most cases, expect at least a week or two between the stages, although smaller or more intimate workplace environments might take less.

Information for the Dolphin Drilling Assessment Centre

Assessment centres offer a more precise means of evaluating prospective employees than tests and interviews. Tasks that job candidates are required to perform during their assessment day include a short presentation, participating in group’s discussions and in-tray exercises, acting out different scenarios, and role-playing. Employers believe that only through so many activities can an applicant’s personality and professionalism shine through. Key personality traits that are measured during the event are adaptability, analytical thinking, creativity, leadership, and time management, among others. While job candidates are involved in these activities, they are being scrutinized by assessors who give them points summed up by the end of the assessment day. Only those candidates who receive the highest scores are invited for the final interview, where they may be given a job offer.

How Is the Verbal Test Scored?

The Verbal Reasoning Test is scored as many tests are scored these days. The final scores on the Verbal Reasoning Test are not calculated according to the number of right answers that applicants get. Their results are evaluated relative to results of other applicants who are either taking the Verbal Reasoning Test at the same time or have taken it before. Matching an applicant’s score with the scores of others allows employers to choose the best candidate from the applicant pool. There is a negative side to this method, however. It can happen that your good score may look bad compared to the scores of others. Suppose you get 91% of questions right. This is an objectively good result. Yet if most of the other applicants get 93% of questions correctly, your score will not qualify you for the desired position. Because your success on the Verbal Reasoning Test depends so clearly on the success of other applicants, you cannot come to your pre-employment assessment unprepared. Study with JobTestPrep’s practice resources and rise above your competitors.

How Long is the Personality Test?

There is no time limit on the Personality Test. You may take as much time as you want to answer 180-200 questions usually posted on this test. Because there are many questions that will require you to think your answers through, it may take you more than 3 hours to complete the whole test.

What Does Critical Thinking Have to Do with the SJT?

Only a critical thinker can arrive at the right conclusion to devise creative and innovative solutions to company issues. During this test prove to your future employer that you have what it takes to tackle the complications of the position and the company at large. The test will offer both single answers and or you will choose from a range of solutions, which you will have to rate from the least to most effective.

How Can I Improve My Numerical Reasoning Test Scores?

Often times the Dolphin Drilling numerical assessments will cover concepts and material you may not have used for many years. Even if you are feeling confident in taking your Dolphin Drilling numerical assessments, it is advisable for you to practise in order to improve your analytical and numerical comprehension skills prior to taking the test.

How Are Assessment Centre Interviews Conducted?

On the one hand, an interview at an assessment centre is conducted in a similar manner to a regular interview that would be held in an office. You can expect competency-based, situational, and, perhaps, technical questions, but the format will vary. First, assessment centre interviews are held in between tasks, as job applicants pass or fail, individuals are selected based on performance for an interview. After several rounds, someone (or multiple people) may be hired. Moreover, you may be asked to make a presentation or role play in a group interview, which is unique to assessment centre interviews.

What Should I Do to Get a Job Offer?

How Many References Should I Give to My Employers?

References are important and may influence your employers’ hiring decision. It is, therefore, advisable to think of people who can recommend you for an applied position in advance. Make sure also to list people who will truly put in a good word for you rather than tell neutral, insignificant facts about you. As a rule, listing three people will be enough for most of the recruiters. If you are applying for a managerial position, add two or three more people to your list of references. And do not forget to list them in the order of importance.
