The Situational Strengths Test is an SJT, which is a popular psychological tool used by assessment companies, employers and organisations to evaluate applicants' behavioural and cognitive abilities when they are introduced with hypothetical, daily work-related situations. Capp's SJT tests present the scenarios in both video and textual format. The scenarios are followed by optional responses that need to be ranked on a scale of most and least likely to be your response.

The numerical test measures the ability to work with numbers and interpret numerical information presented in charts. Calculators are allowed, which means that the main focus is on reasoning skills.

The verbal test focuses on English language skills and reading comprehension.
