Advanced Excel assessment tests are intended for candidates applying for positions requiring intensive, high-level use of Excel. Such advanced tasks include managing large data sets, executing all sorts of calculations, and performing statistical analysis. Financial advisors, engineers, and analysts are all examples of positions which demand this level of skill. The goal of this assessment test is to determine if potential candidates have the required skills to perform these types of jobs successfully. Thus, passing the test with a high grade is essential for employment.

Test Topics

Advanced level Excel assessments usually feature some questions concerning basic Excel matters associated to the software’s interface and use. However, the assessment will revolve mostly around higher level topics, for instance creating and executing Macro commands, PivotTables, advanced Excel functions, utilising Excel’s in-depth software features, and more. These tests are sometimes difficult even for the most skilled Excel users, so be certain you are well prepared and familiar with the diverse subjects and sorts of questions before taking the test.

Our advanced Excel practice pack was created for experienced users who want to focus their training around the appropriate topics for their test. Our practice pack covers all advanced test topics, but also features much more.

Practice Modes

There are 2 practice modes:

Testing: here you'll find 2 full-length assessments, 25 prompts each. Time is restricted, no aid is provided during the test, and there is no instant feedback after each question.

Training: this mode will allow you to "learn while doing". Here you'll find both the 2 full tests mentioned, as well as 5 additional practice drills divided by topic. Unlike "test" mode, Time is unlimited, you are allowed full access to explanations and you will get immediate feedback after every task.
