During the recruitment process, you'll be asked to take a number of different Pandora tests. You are asked to complete these tests online. These tests are in general provided by Pandora. Pandora Numerical Tests

Numerical reasoning tests assess your ability to work with numbers. They are often centred on your ability to comprehend numerical information in the form of graphs, tables and the like, analyse this information and use it to answer the questions.

Pandora Verbal Reasoning Tests

Verbal reasoning is the understanding of concepts framed in words within the use of reasoning. Such tests and exercises evaluate one's ability to think constructively and do not rely on a person’s language fluency or vocabulary recognition.

Pandora SJT Tests

SJT stands for Situational Judgement Test. Pandora's SJT test assesses your cognitive and behavioural abilities when presented with work-related scenarios. The format of the test varies, however, all of them present you with situations followed by multiple-choice questions. You should either rank/rate the answers or select the for you most and least likely options. There are no right or wrong answers, still you should bear in mind that your responses should mirror your professional manners. Your answers make up your profile which allows your prospective employer to decide if you fit the company and your position. Click here for sample SJT tests.

Pandora Personality Tests

The first question one should ask when taking a Pandora personality test is “what are they looking for?” While many erroneously believe that there are no right or wrong answers, the truth is the company is looking for the right personality for the job. Finding the right fit for any given position runs beyond technical skills, your future employer wants to know how you will fit into your work environment. This could include managing stakeholders, solving office work disputes or coping with stress and pressure among other factors and situations.

Pandora Microsoft Office Tests

The Microsoft Word test measures your ability to complete tasks in Microsoft Word software. The test is entirely interactive, attempting to simulate how Word is used in the workplace. The test is aimed at applicants for jobs that require the use of Word at its fullest capacity. On this test, you will be asked to perform more complex tasks, such as mail merges, advanced formatting, and using templates and tables.

Pandora Microsoft Excel Assessments

The Microsoft Excel Test - This test requires job candidates to demonstrate their knowledge of the Excel program, from Excel basics to Advanced Excel Skills. Their mastery of the program is evaluated by a wide variety of tasks. Applicants may be asked to do formatting and to create borders or columns; or they may be required to edit: either to insert or replace, or undo rows. There are also tasks on the Microsoft Excel Test that invite applicants to create different types of charts and graphs or demonstrate how comfortable they feel using tools available in the Excel program. It may take up to 40 minutes to complete the test.

Pandora Assessment Centre

Some employers have come to the conclusion that applicants’ personality and professionalism do not shine sufficiently through in interviews and even on tests. To help them demonstrate their talents more expressly and fully, many companies have opened an assessment centre, where they test job candidates’ suitability for an advertised position by a combination of tasks and activities. Employers believe that assessment centres allow applicants to show a wider scope of talents than revealed on tests or during interviews. Events hosted at such assessment centres are of various lengths, ranging from half a day to two days. With many prospective employees invited to pre-employment events, job candidates for a position are usually grouped with their competitors and evaluated against their performance. There are several eliminations done during the event so that not all job candidates arrive to the final stage of the assessment involving an interview with the higher management of the company. Only those job candidates who convincingly demonstrated adaptability, analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and leadership are usually invited for the final interview that often culminates in a job offer.

There are different kinds of questions found on personality assessment tests. When given a statement with extreme statements such as "always" and "never," you should answer them with less extreme answers such as "agree" and "not strongly agree." However, there are times during a personality test in which you should choose "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree." You should choose "strongly agree" when the following types of questions are asked:

    • Most people can be trusted.
    • Very few people steal at work.
    • I cannot remember the last time I lost my temper at work.

  • It is human nature to steal from others.
  • Most people cannot be trusted.
  • Sometimes my co-workers annoy me.

Numerical reasoning tests usually assess the ability to read, interpret, and analyse numerical data and perform calculations typically involving percentages, ratios, and currency conversions, amongst other operations. Numerical tests are most common in the financial sector, but just about any employer can use them in the graduate recruitment process. They can be given online as a pre-test or as part of the assessment centre.

What Questions do the Pandora's Representatives Ask in a Phone Interview?

After you have uploaded your résumé and cover letter onto the Pandora's website, you will have a phone interview with its Human Resources manager who will ask you questions mostly about your education, working experience, and career goals. You may also discuss the company’s business objectives, your future duties, and benefits you will be given if you qualify for the position. If your phone interview goes well, you will receive a link to the online test that you need to pass in order to move to the next stage in the hiring process.

Is It Necessary to Prepare Prior to Taking the Pandora Test?

Taking the time to familiarise yourself with the structure of the test is crucial to eliminating the element of surprise. Understanding the structure of the test as well as the appropriate responses will definitely give you a leg up on other candidates who will also be taking the same test. JobTestPrep offers countless useful resources to ensure you are prepared come test day.

How Long Will the Pandora Recruitment Process Take?

The Pandora recruitment process can take several weeks. The screening process usually involves an initial phone interview, as well as an assessment centre where you will be met with group exercises, aptitude tests, and a face-to-face interview. Once you have completed all of these steps, the company will contact you as to whether or not you will be offered the position.

How Long Should an Applicant Stay at Pandora Assessment Centre?

The length of an event at an assessment centre varies from company to company. Some companies invite job candidates to their assessment centres for several hours, letting them go home in the afternoon; some organize more prolonged events that require applicants’ presence at the assessment centre for two full days. When you are invited for two days, you will be provided with accommodation in a nearby hotel. Bear in mind, however, that if you are asked to come for a full day or for two days to the company’s assessment centre, this does not mean that you will stay till the end. Pre-employment events have many stages, after each of which less successful candidates become eliminated and sent home. Only most suitable applicants remain at the assessment centre until the closure of the event and have a final interview with the company’s high managers.
