Wizz Air Hiring Process

Most past Wizz Air applicants have turned to the online website and followed the instructions. You will note that Wizz Air recruitment process is broken down into three main tracks. Below you can read a detailed listing of each track:

  • Cabin Crew: For the Wizz Air cabin crew, there are strict requirements for the position, such as height, arm length, eyesight and the ability to swim. When applying for this position, you can expect an assessment centre day event. Likely you will be one of 100 or even 300 people. You will each be asked to briefly introduce yourself and wait around to be individually interviewed. (Be sure to bring a book!) You will be told right then if you can proceed to the next hiring stage. Stage two is team building and role-playing e.g. how to deal with a problematic flier. The last stage is another round of personal interview. Be prepared for a long day. Past job applicants have spent 15 hours there.
  • Pilots: The Wizz Air pilot hiring process is similar to the cabin crew recruitment process. Usually, Wizz Air hires pilots together in another assessment centre dynamic. However, the centre is not one day, rather it can last several. The air company picks a random country where the pilots can gather together. They go through a series of interview, flight tests and more. Note: since many people are involved in this event, you will have a specific time slot of when you will fly and when you will have personal interviews. If you pass each exam, you will stay the complete time. (For those who cannot spare so much time, Wizz Air has a special day for those who can only remain for a single day of the assessment centre.)
  • Office Workers: You can apply on Wizz’s main website. There you will see a list of current vacant positions with detailed information regarding the position and educational requirements. These jobs are anything from scheduling manager, customer service, financial controller, manager of cabin crew recruitment, workforce planning specialist and more. Basically, these are jobs that are done on the ground. As they are more traditional jobs, they are treated as such.  After applying online, you will be asked to take a few aptitude and psychometric tests that can involve verbal, abstract and numerical. If Wizz Air upper management is impressed with your results you will then be contacted for a telephone interview. This is the first wave of screening. After which you likely will be invited for an in-person interview – usually this is the last wave and you’ll receive a telephone call later to inform you that you’ve received the position. Note: for higher-up positions, you can expect to have several in-person (or Skype) interviews to further explore your candidacy for the Wizz Air position.
