To complete this test successfully you should be able to grasp the numerical data provided in a graph or a table to answer the multiple-choice questions. Performing basic calculations such as fraction, ratios, conversions, and percentages are necessary to successfully pass this assessment.
For the CEB SHL verbal assessment, you will receive short passages of text and select the appropriate answer to the questions relating to each text. To answer each question you should be able to quickly assess whether a statement is true, false, or indeterminable based on the passage.
Situational Judgement Test (SJT) is a psychological tool is often employed as part of the hiring process by organisations, employers, and assessment companies. It evaluates your cognitive and behavioural when presented with realistic, your field-related situations. The SJT’s format varies between providers, companies, and positions as they serve as a tailored evaluation tool.
There are different kinds of questions found on personality assessment tests. When given a statement with extreme statements such as "always" and "never," you should answer them with less extreme answers such as "agree" and "not strongly agree." However, there are times during a personality test in which you should choose "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree.
Several different tests make up the Microsoft Office assessment. The two most common types of tests you should expect as part of this assessment are the Microsoft Excel test and the Microsoft Word test. A typing test is can be a further addition to these. These tests often come in two different difficulty levels — basic and intermediate-advanced. Regardless of its difficulty level, each test covers topics involving both fundamental skills as well as more sophisticated ones. What sets these tests apart is the number of questions relating to each level of Microsoft Office skills.
The Excel User Test allows employers to carefully measure a candidate's Microsoft Excel skills, as well as to evaluate whether they are qualified for the offered position. You should expect between 10 and 25 questions per test.

Your invitation to the assessment centre will detail the types of assessments you will encounter as part of the day. These include interviews, presentations, case studies, role-plays, and aptitude tests. Participating in an assessment day can also be a great opportunity for you to breath in the company’s atmosphere, meet with current employees and learn about the company’s values.p>
Syngenta CEB's SHL aptitude tests usually contain multiple-choice questions. The possible marks for each question are correct, incorrect, and unanswered. When you submit a Syngenta aptitude test, your answers are first evaluated against the correct answers. Then, your correct answers are counted, and the rate of right answers is calculated.
Verbal reasoning psychometric tests are among the most common tests applicants take when applying for a position. Verbal reasoning is the name given to a range of tests that employ written texts to examine your aptitude to understand, analyse, and interpret verbal information.
Being consistent is a very important factor when completing a personality assessment test. On personality tests, you will encounter similar questions phrased differently. If your answer for these similar questions contradicts each other, it will be revealed in your results. Such a contradiction may imply for the assessor that you were not completely honest when taking this test and could decide to decline your interest in the position. Still, being consistent should not become your primary focus, as it is not measured. It becomes a problem only if you significantly contradict yourself; for example, answering "agree" to "I'm never late" and "I have a tendency to be late to some meeting." At times during the test, you may see similar statements but not agree or disagree with all of them; in this case, it is fine to answer differently. For example, answering "agree" to both "I prefer working with people rather than working along" and "Sometimes, I need some alone time."
To gain advantage, before completing your SJT you should research the company. Through your research you can learn about the company’s advertised values. You should check their website, and their publications for clues.
Numerical reasoning tests are designed to look at the range of skills and abilities needed to perform almost any job. Basic maths or computations skills, such as the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), percentages, and ratios, to name a few, are all needed on a daily basis. Being able to understand and analyse graphs and other numerical data is necessary for many graduate and management positions. If you work in the finance or banking sector, financial reasoning skills are a must. As part of the hiring process, technical jobs often require applicants to have speed and concentration when working with numerical data. Critical reasoning is necessary for many high-level positions, while estimation skills are also a big advantage in many jobs.
The length of your recruitment process depends on the number of tasks you have to take. Typically, there are hundreds, if not thousands of candidates are applying for the same role. Whilst most of them are filtered out by the online tests, that still leaves many who have to complete through face to face assessments and interviews. However, we can create a general estimated timeframe. Online tests and automatic application screening usually don’t last longer than a week. Still, you will only know if you have got through to the next stage of the application process once the job posting has been closed. The company will normally take an other month to shortlist the applicants who should participate in interviews and assessment centres. The assessment centres usually take place in the first three months of the year and you get the results typically about a week or two afterward. Thus, we can estimate that the entire hiring process can take up to six months.
