South African Reserve Bank’s Hiring Process

As the central bank of the Republic of South Africa, the South African Reserve Bank is always on the lookout for the brightest individuals to join their company. Below you will find information regarding the stages in the SARB recruitment process that you may encounter:

  • Application Process: Once you have registered an account on the South African Reserve Bank careers page, you will be able to apply for open jobs directly from the SARB website. After making a selection and filling in the online application, you should be prompted to upload your CV and any other supporting documents prior to submission.
  • Initial Interview: Your initial interview with SARB will most likely be held over the phone. The purpose of a phone screening interview is to evaluate your interest in the position.
  • Aptitude Testing: If you have passed the initial screening interview, you may be invited to complete one or more pre-hire exams.
  • Assessment Centre: Depending on the role you have applied for you may be required to participate in an assessment centre with other applicants. During an assessment centre you will likely engage in group activities, additional assessment tests, and interviews.
  • Onsite interviews: Your sit-down interviews will often be the final stage prior to receiving a job offer. These interviews will either be held before a panel. In a group, or one-on-one.
