About Sopra Steria PrepPacks™

Sopra Steria's recruitment process is rigorous, but with extensive practice, you can improve your chances of being selected to work there. Start preparing yourself now for the company's Talent Q aptitude tests and interviews with JobTestPrep

Sopra Steria Talent Q Elements Numerical-Style Tests

The Talent Q numerical reasoning test, also known as the Elements numerical, is a graph and table interpretation test, examining the same skills as most other numerical reasoning tests you will come across. The content of the tests is similar to many other numerical reasoning tests found in the assessment market today, however, there are some differences.

Sopra Steria Talent Q Elements Verbal-Style Tests

Talent Q's Elements Verbal test contains different features than other verbal tests that you may have encountered in the past. The Talent Q Elements verbal reasoning test is designed to assess your ability to understand information in a written form, evaluate arguments based on what you have read, and then answer questions accordingly. The Talent Q Elements verbal test consists of five passages and three multiple-choice questions per passage (15 questions in total). For every question, the time allocated to both read the passage and answer the question is limited – either 60 or 75 seconds per question. This means that the system will move you on to the next question when the time runs out regardless of whether you have answered the question or not. When answering questions, you are presented with a range of possible answers from which to choose. You are usually asked to decide which statement best suits the content of the text. The passages can be quite long and contain an abundance of detailed information covering regulations, finance, or other subjects relevant to the corporate sphere. Unlike other verbal tests, you may occasionally be asked to choose two correct answers. Make sure you read the question carefully as it is always made clear whether you have to make one or two choices; and unlike most verbal tests which have four answer choices, Talent Q has six answer options, making the test more difficult and time consuming. Additionally, Talent Q's elements series is adaptive, meaning that each new question is assigned on the basis of how you performed on the previous question. If you get the question right, the next question will be a little more difficult. Your final score will indicate the difficulty level of the questions you have answered.

Sopra Steria Talent Q Elements Logical-Style Tests

Talent Q's Elements Logical is a test designed to measure your analytical and logical skills in understanding and manipulating abstract information. It is significantly different from the tests you will expect to see in any interview process. This test is a non-verbal test. It assesses your analytical and logical skills using symbols rather than words or numbers. You are given an incomplete matrix filled with shapes and asked to identify the pattern linking them together in order to choose the missing shape. The shapes are held together by a logic from both left to right and top to bottom. You are assigned 75 seconds for each question, rather than a time limit for the entire test. When your time has elapsed, the system will move you on to the next question whether you have answered or not. The questions in this test are adaptive, meaning that the system will allocate the next question based on whether you answered the previous question correctly or incorrectly. Questions will get harder the more questions you answer correctly, and your final score report will reflect how many questions you got right at each difficulty level. There is no pass or fail. There is also no high score or low score. Your results will be compared to everyone applying for the position. You will only be measured how well you did relative to your competition.

You are given 5 or 10 questions to answer (depending on the role) and you have 3 seconds to read through the question before the programme begins recording your response. This interview is a way for Sopra Steria to get to know you so most of the questions are motivational or competency based. Here are some examples of questions you might be asked: What is the most interesting thing you have learned about Sopra Steria from your research? What qualities do you think the placement will bring out in you? Why have you chosen Sopra Steria? Before the interview, write out a few notes and examples for yourself to use during the interview. Interviews can be nerve-wracking so make sure to review our free guide to interviews PDF to prepare.

Preparing for the test will help will improve your scores and give you the edge you need to gain the job.

How Long does Sopra Steria's Hiring Process Take?

The hiring process depends on the number of tasks you have to fulfill. Typically, there are hundreds, if not thousands of candidates are applying for the same job. Whilst most of them are filtered out through the use of online tests, that still leaves many who have to go through face to face assessments and interviews. We can make some generalisations though. Online tests and automatic application screening typically take no more than a week. However, you will only know if you have gotten through to the next stage of the application process once the job posting has been closed. The company will normally take a further month to come up with a shortlist of candidates who should attend interviews and assessment centres. These assessment centres usually take place in the first three months of the year and you get the results typically about a week or two afterward. We can, therefore, say that the entire process can take up to six months.

What will I Face in Sopra Steria Assessment Centre?

There are a lot of different exercises that you will face during the day. It is therefore really important that you get a good night's sleep if possible. Remember, a relaxed mind is the best mind. Try to be friendly even if you are nervous. It is often the interaction between candidates and workers that convince the assessors that you are the right choice for the job.
