Salesforce Numerical Test

Numerical reasoning tests are number-based assessments. They range from basic mathematics or arithmetic tests to high-level numerical critical reasoning assessments. The variety of test types corresponds to the numerous job levels these assessments are used for, including high ranking senior management positions, graduate or managerial jobs, and administrative and sales roles. Numerical tests are the most common type of aptitude test you can face during the recruitment process.

The Salesforce's Verbal Reasoning Test

Verbal reasoning tests examine you on a range of English skills. These skills can be broken down into the following groups: Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension, and Critical Reasoning. Vocabulary assessments test your understanding of the words that are used in your line of work. This is measured through various assessments, such as mixed sentences tests, complete the sentence tests, spelling tests, and more. Grammar tests examine your understanding of English grammar and your ability to recognise good or bad grammar. Comprehension tests are designed to measure your ability to understand written information, analyse it, and interpret what you have read to answer questions. Critical Reasoning tests measure how you analyse the information in front of you.

Salesforce SJT Test

The Salesforce Situational Judgement Test or SJT is used as a means to gauge your ability to approach real-life work conflicts and scenarios accordingly. You will be tasked with choosing the most and least effective responses, or to rank them in order based on their effectiveness. The Salesforce SJT will assess a number of invaluable workplace skills. This test is usually comprised of 100 or more questions which measure 32 specific traits.

Salesforce Personality Test

The first question one should ask when taking a Salesforce personality test is “what are they looking for?” While many erroneously believe that there are no right or wrong answers, the truth is the company is looking for the right personality for the job. Finding the right fit for any given position runs beyond technical skills, your future employer wants to know how you will fit into your work environment. This could include managing stakeholders, solving office work disputes or coping with stress and pressure among other factors and situations.

Salesforce Interview Stage

You should be ready to participate in Salesforce’s telephone, video, and in-person interviews. You can encounter interviews as part of the pre-screening process, the hiring process, and the assessment centre. Initial interviews allow you to elaborate on your CV and you should take this chance to stress the experiences and skills that make you qualified for your desired position. The majority of the interviews, however, have competency-based questions which you should answer by providing examples of past experiences demonstrating your aptitude for the job. Interviews can also include riddles, role-plays and assessment tests. Use JobTestPrep’s Interview PrepPack™ to enter your Salesforce Interview with confidence!

Salesforce Assessment Centre

Some employers have come to the conclusion that applicants’ personality and professionalism do not shine sufficiently through in interviews and even on tests. To help them demonstrate their talents more expressly and fully, many companies have opened an assessment centre, where they test job candidates’ suitability for an advertised position by a combination of tasks and activities. Employers believe that assessment centres allow applicants to show a wider scope of talents than revealed on tests or during interviews. Events hosted at such assessment centres are of various lengths, ranging from half a day to two days. With many prospective employees invited to pre-employment events, job candidates for a position are usually grouped with their competitors and evaluated against their performance. There are several eliminations done during the event so that not all job candidates arrive to the final stage of the assessment involving an interview with the higher management of the company. Only those job candidates who convincingly demonstrated adaptability, analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and leadership are usually invited for the final interview that often culminates in a job offer.

Frequently Asked Questions by Salesforce Candidates

What is the Purpose of Salesforce Verbal Tests?

Verbal reasoning psychometric tests are among the most common tests applicants face when applying for a new job. Verbal reasoning is the name given to a range of tests that use written texts to measure your ability to understand, analyse, and interpret information.

How Is Salesforce Personality Test Evaluated?

The purpose of a personality assessment is to establish your personality and behavioural style in the workplace. Companies use these tests to determine whether you are a right fit for the position and company standards. The questions you will face often target work-related activities such as managing stakeholders, working in groups, complying with regulations, problem-solving, leadership skills, coping with pressure and stress, etc. Determining which personality traits are important for Salesforce and for your desired position is also very important. For example, an HR manager’s personality test scores are supposed to reflect her communication and organizational skills, whereas for a sales position, a competitive and initiative-driven nature is favoured.

How Many Scenarios Can I Expect to Encounter in the Salesforce SJT?

You can expect to find between 25 – 50 scenarios on any given SJT. The scenarios are usually engaging and challenging. After you are presented with a scenario you will then have to either find the most (or least) suitable response to the scenario or rank/rate the responses in order of effectiveness.

What are the Salesforce Numerical Tests Designed to Measure?

Depending on the job and profession you are seeking, you may encounter a pre-hire math test, also known as a numerical reasoning test, a quantitative reasoning test, or a numerical test. This is the most common type of aptitude test applicants can face. Test takers are assessed on their ability to understand and make decisions based on numerical data. The exam may be administered as part of an online job application, at the job site, or during an interview. However, it's important to note that there are no standard pre-employment math tests.
