NSW Matrigma Hiring Process

NSW's hiring process has several stages. After submitting your CV, you will be invited to complete the online Matrigma test. You might also be asked to complete further online aptitude tests, such as logical and spatial reasoning tests. Upon successfully completing the tests, you will participate in a competency-based interview.

NSW Matrigma Test Application Process

The company's pre-employment assessment starts with an online application. You are welcome to upload your resume and a cover letter to the NSW's website. After your documents have been screened, you will be invited for a phone interview with a Human Resources manager, who will ask you questions about your education, working history, and career goals. NSW In-person Interview

This type of interview assesses your skills against the NSW values and the requirements of the job for which you are applying. Ahead of the interview, prepare by thinking up as many examples as you can for each required skill. Read up on NSW and the area to which you are applying. Draft answers to common questions, and then rehearse answering them.

NSW Video Interview

Video interviews are generally conducted with software in which you are presented with a question and then given time to record your answer. For this interview, it is very important to ensure that you have a story to back up your answers. This is best done using the STAR method (link to STAR method page): first talk about the situation, then the problem, and finally how you dealt with it.

NSW Phone Interview

If you are successful during the online testing stage, your next assessment is the NSW telephone interview. This interview is scheduled to last between 45 minutes and one hour. The NSW phone interview is mainly competency-based and focuses on assessing you against the key competencies valued at the company. You will be asked about your background and then the interview will move onto the competency questions.

NSW Matrigma Assessment Centre

The assessment centre, which takes place on site, includes groups of candidates and takes about hours to complete. The exercises are divided into sections, which are designed to assess how you work both in teams and individually. In the first section, the group will be assigned a business case which they must work together to solve. In the second section, you will solve a business case individually. During the last stage, you will be invited to a competency-based interview.

How Are NSW Tests Scored?

NSW aptitude tests are usually comprised of multiple-choice questions. The possible marks for each question are correct, incorrect, and unanswered. When you submit an NSW aptitude test, your answers are first measured against the correct answers. Then, your correct answers are counted, and the rate of correct answers is calculated.
