About Nissan PrepPacks™

During the recruitment process, you will be asked to take the following Nissan tests. These tests are completed online and are provided by SHL. To successfully move on to the next stage of the hiring process, utilise JobTestPrep's comprehensive preparation package for SHL's online tests.

Nissan SHL-Style Numerical Reasoning Online Tests

In this test, you will work with numerical data in the form of a table or a graph. Taking this information you can answer the multiple-choice questions. Answering the questions often demand you to show basic math aptitude by performing calculations involving conversions, ratios, fractions and percentages.

Nissan SHL-Style Verbal Reasoning Online Tests

SHL verbal test requires you to read short texts and answer questions based on each passage. Each exercise will expect you to quickly decide whether a statement is true, false or indeterminable based on the written information.

Nissan Interview

This interview is either face-to-face or via telephone, depending on the position for which you have applied. In general, the interview takes about 45 minutes, however, candidates for summer internship and work placement programs have an interview lasting approximately 30 to 120 minutes. Interviews can be the nerve-wracking part of the process, but preparation is essential to stay focused and calm. With our Interview PrepPack, you can ensure that you make an excellent impression during your interview.

Nissan Telephone Interview

After having completed the assessments you will be invited to the Nissan telephone interview. This interview is between 30 minutes and one hour. It is mainly competency-based and focuses on assessing you against the key competencies of the company. First, you will be asked about your background and then the interviewer will move onto the competency questions.

Nissan Onsite Interview

Nissan's recruitment team and 1 or 2 representatives of the recruiting department conduct this interview in person. It is a competency-based interview, and you will elaborate on your past work experience and your reasons for applying to work in this specific role. In addition, you will touch on the technical aspects of your desired role, such as your salary expectations and the location of your work. To succeed in this interview you should prepare by doing a thorough research of Nissan's valued competencies, the company's history and your position.

Nissan Assessment Centre

The Nissan assessment day includes different types of activities all designed to examine how you perform individually and as part of a team. The recruiter will tell you beforehand about the specific types of activities you will take in the assessment centre and if there is anything you should prepare. The types of tasks you should anticipate are interviews, aptitude tests, case studies, group exercises and role-plays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Purpose of Nissan's Aptitude Tests?

Many companies employ aptitude tests as part of the application process because they offer employers the chance to gain insight into your work compatibility, intellectual skills, and cooperation and interaction with others. For this reason, preparation for these assessments is crucial to get one step closer to the job you desire.

What is my Nissan SHL Numerical Test Designed to Measure?

Depending on the job and profession you are targeting, you may face a numerical test, also known as a numerical reasoning test, a quantitative reasoning test, or a pre-hire math test. This is the most common type of aptitude test applicants can encounter. Candidates are assessed on their skill to understand and make decisions based on the numerical information. The exam may be administered as part of an online job application, at the job site, or during an interview. However, there are no standard pre-employment math tests.

How Long Does Nissan Hiring Process Take?

The length of the application process depends on the number of tasks you are requested to complete. Usually, there are hundreds, if not thousands of candidates submitting their application for the same position. Whilst most of them are filtered by the online tests, that still leaves many who have to go through in-person interviews and assessments. Still, we can conclude some generalisations. Automatic application screening and online tests typically take no more than a week. You will only know if you passed once the job posting has been closed. The company will normally need a further month to shortlist the candidates who should come to interviews and assessment centres. The assessment days usually take place in the first three months of the year; you will receive the results within about a week or two afterwards. We can, therefore, assume that the entire process can take up to six months.

How Should I Conduct Myself in Nissan Group Exercise?

Candidates often struggle to demonstrate an adequate level of involvement in the group exercise on the assessment day and demonstrating their skills in an optimal manner. Some participants are overly dominant and loud because they fear they won't be heard otherwise. Others are quiet and introvert, worrying that their participation may not be significant enough in comparison to others. You have to find a balance that fits both your employer and you. For more tips see our PrepPack™.

What Will I Encounter in Nissan Assessment Centre?

There are a lot of different exercises that you will take as part of the assessment day. It is therefore really important that you get a good night's sleep. Remember, a relaxed mind is the best mind. Even if you are nervous try to be friendly. Often it is the interaction between workers and candidates that convince the assessors that you are the right fit for the job.
