Begin Preparing for the NDIS Application Process

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) involves a large variety of NDIA vacancies to apply for. The NDIA graduate program and career positions give employees the opportunity to create a better life for individuals living with disabilities.

Below you will find an outline of the NDIS employment procedures:

  • Online Application: To start the NDIS application process, candidates can submit the online application form by addressing the selection criteria and uploading their updated CV. Applicants may also need to include a list of two referees to be contacted.
  • Telephone Interview: The phone interviews normally lasts between 10–30 minutes, during which applicants are asked questions regarding their background, skills, and previous work experiences.
  • Tests: If candidates pass the initial interview, they will be shortlisted and invited to perform online cognitive ability testing so that employers may determine their compatibility for the position.
  • In-Person Interview: A minimum of 48 hours will be given, asking job seekers to attend an interview which may include an assessment centre day. The final interviews may consist of panel interviews and/or reference checking, as well as presentations, case studies, and group discussions.

NDIS Assessment Tests

There are several aptitude entrance exams which may be distributed during the hiring process. The cognitive ability test is used as a psychometric assessment to assess job applicants’ numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning skills. The Revelian cognitive ability test (RCAT) in particular poses these three subjects in their questions. These tests consist of many levels of difficulty and evaluates capabilities in a diverse number of positions. Verbal reasoning focuses on the ability to analyse and comprehend written information, while numerical reasoning measures candidates’ understanding of basic numerical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Abstract reasoning questions judge applicants based on how they react to new rules, patterns, and situations. NDIS Interview Questions

The final interview stage may consist of various NDIS questions which may be more behavioural or more technical, depending on the job’s requirements the hiring managers. Examples of NDIS interview questions are as follows:

  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
