National Commercial Bank Hiring Process

Most previous candidates had an overall positive or neutral experience during their National Commercial Bank’s recruitment process. However, since NCB prides themselves on finding the correct people to fill their vacant positions, they take their time hiring. This can be discouraging, however, it also means that you are preparing yourself to join a well-educated and bright community of colleagues. Below is a breakdown of what to expect in the coming weeks:

  • Online CV Submission: A majority of past applicants apply online through NCB’s main website.
  • Pre-Employment Entrance Exam: If your CV lights the interest of NCB, you will receive an email with a link to a few online exams. These tests will have multiple parts that will not only test your skills for the position you’ve applied for, but also assesses if you will mould well with the current employee body.
  • Telephone Screening: After you do your tests, you will either be interviewed over the telephone or asked to come for a brief in-person interview. This interview will cover basic questions to assess your personality.
  • Face-to-Face Interview: The in-person interview is relatively relaxing. You likely will be interviewed by one or two upper management personnel. The process is relatively fast and pleasant. However, if you are applying for a more technical position, you can expect to have multiple rounds of interviews. These can either be held in a single day or spread over the course of a month.
  • Call Back Interview: Likely you will be called back for a final interview. This interview is traditionally in a panel format. The panel will likely hold 4 or so managers who will take turns questioning you.
  • Assessment Centre: Infrequently, National Commercial Bank has to hire a mass number of people. When this occurs, they create a day called the assessment centre. The single day event allows the company to interview multiple people at once. If you are invited, you can expect to listen to various presentations to further educate you on bank history and policies, you’ll also participate in team building exercises such as role-playing and scenario situations and, of course, attend interviews both alone and in a group dynamic.
