MTN Numerical Test

Numerical reasoning tests often assess mathematical skills that you probably haven’t used in years. Our practice packs include answers and explanations to make sure you are fully prepared for test day. Using our PrepPacks™ gives you a great base in your skill level that will enable you to really get to grips with any type of question that may come up.

MTN Verbal Reasoning Test

It measures whether you can follow a text’s argumentative verbal logic and discriminate between important and secondary information presented in it. On the Verbal Reasoning Test, job candidates are asked to read several short passages and judge a truth-value of statements that immediately follow them. After you have identified the relation of each proposition to the truth, you will be required to mark these statements either as “True” or “False.” There are also statements whose truth-value is impossible to assess due to the insufficiency of information presented in the text. If this is the case, you will need to mark a statement under consideration as “Indeterminate”.

MTN Personality Assessment

The personality assessment does not measure your aptitude in certain areas, instead it focuses on your personality in the work environment. It is imperative you understand the difference between your personal and professional life when completing this MTN assessment. JobTestPrep helps you understand the nature of this test and how to complete them in a way that it reflects your work persona. However, this test is usually only employed when you are targeting a higher position because MTN wants to ensure you can cope with the responsibility.

MTN Interview Preparation

MTN will most likely begin with a screening interview phone call. After seeing that your resume fits the bill, a representative will call you to ask a series of brief background and technical questions to further weed out unwanted candidates. The next stage will usually entail a sit-down face to face interview where you will be asked more in-depth questions on subjects not covered during the initial phone screening or written application. Be ready for curveball questions and the open-ended question that provide your interviewer with more background info. Feel free to ask your own follow up questions to gain clarity and better focus your remarks.

MTN Interview Questions

Here are some questions to help you understand what types of MTN interview questions you should expect.

  • What do you understand about SCM Taxonomy?
  • What is your weakness?
  • How can you deal with a stubborn customer?
  • Tell us about a project you did, your exact tasks and how you managed your stakeholders

Information for the MTN Assessment Centre

An Assessment Centre offers a more precise method of evaluating potential employees’ suitability for jobs. Employers have long come to the conclusion that inviting job applicants to the Assessment Centre for a whole day or two yields more exact understanding of their professionalism and personalities than simply testing or interviewing them. Evaluating applicants during events at the Assessment Centre is more efficient because they are required to do different activities there: to participate in group discussions and role-playing, make presentations, take part in social events and case studies, and pass different written tests. Combined, these activities reveal job candidates’ personality and professional aptitude more fully. Among qualities that they bring to light in candidates are analytical thinking, commercial awareness, adaptability, and leadership. For employers, inviting job applicants to the Assessment Centre minimizes the risk of hiring wrong people. Participating in different activities at the Assessment Centre is not always a pleasant experience, however. Candidates are eliminated at every stage of the event. Not many of them, therefore, arrive at the final interview with a company’s managers that, if they are favourably impressed, may culminate in a job offer.

What Is the MTN’s Face-to-Face Interview?

If you pass your pre-employment test and phone interview well, you will be invited to the MTN’s in-person interview. Usually, it takes place in one of the MTN’s locations. In your face-to-face interview, you may speak with a Human Resources’ representative and two or free of your prospective managers. Questions posed in the interview will be competency-based. You will also have situational questions, where you will need to tell your recruiters about a challenging situation which you faced in your past working experience and which you successfully resolved. You will need to elaborate on the decision you made to achieve the resolution of the conflict and what were the alternative options that you discarded. To give more comprehensive answers, use the STAR format when you are talking to your recruiters. This will give them a fuller picture of your personality and your ability to arrive at a firm and fair decision. If you are vying for a technical position, brush up your knowledge of technical concepts and operational principles behind them. Provided you create a favourable impression in the face-to-face interview, you will be invited to another interview with top managers and given a job offer.

How Long Should an Applicant Stay at an Assessment Centre?

The length of an event at an assessment centre varies from company to company. Some companies invite job candidates to their assessment centres for several hours, letting them go home in the afternoon; some organize more prolonged events that require applicants’ presence at the assessment centre for two full days. When you are invited for two days, you will be provided with accommodation in a nearby hotel. Bear in mind, however, that if you are asked to come for a full day or for two days to the company’s assessment centre, this does not mean that you will stay till the end. Pre-employment events have many stages, after each of which less successful candidates become eliminated and sent home. Only most suitable applicants remain at the assessment centre until the closure of the event and have a final interview with the company’s high managers.
