An outline of Moody’s hiring process is listed below:

  • Application: To apply for one of Moody’s vacancies, select the “Search jobs” online link and find the position you are interested in applying for. Be sure to attach your resume and complete the application form.
  • Telephone Interview: If the HR recruiter finds that your work experience on your resume suite the available position, you may be contacted over the phone for an initial screening interview.
  • In-Person Interview: You may face one or more in-person interviews, as well as an assessment centre day. Face-to-face interviews may be conducted by one or more employers in a formal setting. The assessment centre takes up to one full day and consists of presentations, group discussions, case studies and role-playing exercises.
  • Test: Aptitude tests may be administered so that employers can determine which candidates are the correct fit for the role.

Moody’s Aptitude Test Stage

Performing psychometric tests, such as the verbal and numerical reasoning exams, is important for employers to sufficiently assess candidates’ cognitive abilities and skills. The numerical test measures the ability to analyse numerical data and understand percentages. The verbal reasoning exam assesses reading comprehension capacities, whereas the logical reasoning test evaluates attention to details and decision-making aptitude. The situational judgment and personality exams procure probable scenarios and challenges, which may arise in a workplace and assess candidates’ competencies based on their answers and the resolutions they provide. The Excel test may also be given to measure applicants’ use and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and determine whether they can perform certain tasks. Additionally, accounting tests may be conducted to measure a candidate's analytical capability to understand accounting concepts and rationale.

Moody’s Interview Questions

The interview stage may consist of technical interview questions, which depend on the position you are applying for. It is important to demonstrate the skills you possess which pertain to the actual job. Example interview questions may include:
