Metro Bank Project Manager Application Process

The company's pre-employment assessment starts with an online application. You are welcome to upload your CV and a cover letter to the company's website. After your documents have been screened, you will be invited for a phone interview with a Human Resources manager, who will ask you questions about your education, working history, and career goals. To ensure the correctness of your CV, please send it to us. Specialists will go over it and will give you a valuable advice on how to make it stand out among CV of other applicants.

Metro Bank Project Manager Sample Question

Please see examples of questions you may encounter as a potential Metro Bank project manager below:

Metro Bank Project Manager Interview Questions

In this stage, your Metro Bank interviewers are looking for you to give examples from your previous experience to back up your answers. Thus, ahead of the interview, review your CV and prepare a list of examples that can be used to demonstrate your skills against the competencies Metro Bank is looking for. Our Interview PrepPack can help you excel during the interview stage of the Metro Bank project manager's recruitment process.

Metro Bank Project Manager In-Person Interview

If you were scheduled for a face to face interview, chances are likely it will be a competency-based interview. This type of interview assesses your skills against the Metro Bank values and the requirements of the job for which you are applying. Ahead of the interview, prepare by thinking up as many examples as you can for each required skill. Read up on Metro Bank and the area to which you are applying. Draft answers to common questions, and then rehearse answering them.

Metro Bank Project Manager Video Interview

Video interviews are generally conducted with software in which you are presented with a question and then given time to record your answer. For this interview, it is very important to ensure that you have a story to back up your answers. This is best done using the STAR method: first talk about the situation, then the problem, and finally how you dealt with it.

Metro Bank Phone Interview

If you are successful during the online testing stage, your next assessment is the Metro Bank telephone interview. This interview is scheduled to last between 45 minutes and one hour. The Metro Bank phone interview is mainly competency-based and focuses on assessing you against the key competencies valued at the company. You will be asked about your background and then the interview will move onto the competency questions.

Metro Bank Project Manager Assessment Centre

An assessment centre may be the final stage of your application process. The assessment day takes place either at the company campus or at a hired venue. You are evaluated by a series of assessment centre exercises, including both individual and group tasks. These exercises may include an aptitude test, a role-play, a case study, a presentation and an interview. This day gives your prospective employer a rounded profile of your competencies and an insight into your performance in the workplace.

Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the hiring process take?

The hiring process depends on the number of tasks you have to fulfill. Typically, there are hundreds, if not thousands of candidates all applying for the same job. Whilst most of them are filtered out through the use of online tests, that still leaves many who have to go through face to face assessments and interviews. We can make some generalisations though. Online tests and automatic application screening typically takes no more than a week. However, you will only know if you have got through to the next stage of the application process once the job posting has been closed. The company will normally take a further month to come up with a shortlist of candidates who should attend interviews and assessment centres. These assessment centres usually take place in the first three months of the year and you get the results typically about a week or two afterwards. We can, therefore, say that the entire process can take up to six months.

What should I emphasise during my interview?

Typically you should emphasise why you are the correct choice for the job. You should bring in good examples from past experiences to show that you have the skills needed to succeed. Use the STAR method to answer questions as this provides a complete picture and is an engaging way to answer.
