The Personality Test

Malaysian Airlines care about the quality of services that it offers to its customers. Hence, the company’s employers want to ascertain that only responsible, level-headed, and pleasant people join their team. The Personality Test that the employers offer to job candidates predicts how well they will integrate with the rest of the crew and whether they will not display counterproductive behavior when hired. Only those would-be employers that prove that they have impressive, rounded personalities will be hired at MAS.

The Personality Test administered to applicants as a part of their pre-employment assessment at Malaysian Airlines contains two types of questions. You will be required either to evaluate people’s emotional and ethical reactions to specified situations or rank your own attitude to certain work-related situations on the scale from 1 to 5. This test has no time limits. You can spend as much as 3-4 hours answering its questions. It also goes without saying that you need to answer all questions honestly and impromptu. Answering questions honestly does not, however, entail that you do not need to prepare for the test. Spend some time practising with JobTestPrep’s comprehensive resources to learn how to emphasize your best qualities most strongly. By practising with us, you will also understand how not to construct a wrong personality profile and incriminate yourself by mistake, while answering ambiguous questions.

Malaysian Airlines’ Recruitment Process

The recruitment process at MAS is manifold. First, you need to submit your CV, after which you will be contacted by Human Resources representative who will ask you questions about your work ethics, working experience, and career interests.

The next stage is the first in-person interview. Depending on the position for which you are being interviewed, you may also have the Technical Test.

If you succeed on your examination, you will participate in a case study that may or may not be connected to the Airline Industry. The case study will be around half an hour long. There may be also role-playing tasks, group discussions, and practising of reading announcements.

Provided you have completed these tasks well, you will be called for another face-to-face interview which will be in the form of a panel. You will have an opportunity to talk to 3 or 4 heads of the departments within MAS. You will need to explain the case study in which you have just participated and answer behavioral and situational questions. The heads of the departments will tell you about the company and discuss salary and benefits with you. Expect also technical questions probing your knowledge of your area of expertise. The managers will also want to assess your skill levels and working experience.
