The Hiring Process at Lactogal

Depending on what you apply for, the hiring process can take up to Weekx weeks. Apart from the specific tests, you’ll have to do, for your specific job, there are a number of general tests that will be conducted to assess your other skills like:

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as a part of a team
  • Leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Flexibility and creativity

 

Lactogal Interview Process

The hiring process at Lactogal involves a series of different interviews which include:

  • An initial phone interview. In a phone interview, which could last between 20-30 minutes, the interviewer will ask questions about your qualifications, salary requirements, availability to work etc. If the outcome is successful, or rather, to the satisfaction of the interviewer, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview.
  • Video interviews. There are two types of video interviews, a live one, and a pre-recorded one. A live video interview, which will be done through Skype, will assess you more closely. It usually has behavioural based questions and some technical questions. This type of interview can take between 40-60 minutes. A pre-recorded interview is where are given a set of questions which you have to answer while recording yourself. You then send this video to the interviewers.
  • Multiple levels of in-person interviews. Multiple in-person (face-to-face) interviews for Lactogal positions are a common practice to give decision makers at multiple levels the opportunity to make sure that you are the right candidate for the job. There are several interviewers like the recruiter, an HR representative, and heads of departments.
  • You may be required to participate in case interviews. A case interview is a job interview in which the applicant is presented with a challenging business scenario that he/she must investigate and propose a solution to. The interviewers will be looking at how well you suggest implementing your proposals.
  • A technical interview. A typical technical interview is 45 to 60 minutes and starts with one or two quick behavioural questions. This is done in part to get additional information about the candidate, but also to ease the candidate into the interview.
  • A panel interview. A panel interview is where you will be questioned simultaneously by multiple interviewers. Each of them will ask you questions and you will have to answer. There is a lot of pressure on candidates in these types of interviews. A panel interview can be an hour long.
  • A group interview. A group interview is similar to a panel interview, but there is more than one candidate, between 10-40. These last about an hour. Each candidate will be asked a question by each interviewer. Sometimes, candidates will be required to present or solve something together.

 

The Tests at Lactogal

These tests are provided by CEB’s SHL Talent Measurement. The number, type, and level of tests you will need to take depend on the role for which you are applying. These tests include:

  • CEB SHL Numerical Test: On the test, you are presented with different numerical data items in the form of graphs and tables. After careful analysis of the figures, you need to answer multiple choice questions relating to the data.
  • CEB SHL Verbal Reasoning Test: This test is designed to assess how well you use written information. You will be presented with a paragraph of text and a statement based on that text. You need to come to a conclusion as to whether this statement is true, false, or impossible to say based on the text presented.
  • CEB SHL Logical Reasoning Test: On this test, you are presented with a series of shapes following some pattern. Your task is to identify this pattern and choose the next shape in the sequence from a list of options.
  • Personality Test: The purpose of the SHL personality test is to assess how well you fit with Lactogal values.
  • Situational Judgement Test: On this assessment, you are presented with a number of different work-based scenarios and a series of potential responses to those situations. You must choose the responses you find most and least effective.

 

Common Interview Questions

Some of the common interview questions that you may come across during your hiring process at Lactogal include:

  • Describe a difficult work situation/project and how you overcame it.
  • Do you work well with other people?
  • Give some examples of your teamwork in completing a critical project.
