First Stop –The Kinderspital Hiring Process

Before getting started, let’s discuss the general format you should prepare for to best conquer the hiring process.

  • HR Phone Screening: To successfully begin sifting the good applicants from the best, companies like Kinderspital may employ the HR Phone Screening. You will be asked questions from your CV, given more information about the position and asked a couple questions about your hard skill sets. You should take it seriously, as this stage is nor merrily ceremonial.
  • Tests: In many instances, the second stage will be a series of online-tests, which can vary from position to position. At Kinderspital you should expect to take the TalentQ pre-hire tests, Excel and personality exams just to name a few. JobTestPrep will help fully prepare you so that you can swiftly jump ahead of the pack.
  • Final Stage Interview: The final stage can come in a variety of forms. You might meet with the hiring manager along with a VP. Some formats will include panel interview where several interviews will take turns firing off questions. Additionally, the final interview may include lunch, dinner or a tour of the facilities giving you time to ask questions in a non-formal manner. Remember you are being judged as much if not more during a dinner interview or a tour.

Interview Question Examples

  • Q: Where do you see your career in 5 years.
  • A: Honestly this is really none of their business what your long-term plans are, but you have to give an answer. Let them know that you like to plan for the short run, gaining new skills and perfecting old ones, as you continue to pave your career forward.
  • Q: If your old boss was here, what would he have to say?
  • A: While the question really is not a fair one to ask, try to spin your answer with what you have done for your prior employer and that you were able to hold your own. In essence that you are a self-starter.
  • Q: What is your greatest weakness?
  • A: Tell them that you do not focus on your weaknesses, but rather look to continue building on your strengths. For instance, if the job needs expert level working knowledge of excel, tell them what you have done to advance in the software.
