Keolis’s Hiring Process

The hiring process, which could take 4 weeks, requires you to take some tests, prior to coming to the interviews. These are usually online assessments which focus on testing your basic skills like language, typing, and communication, as well as some basic math. If you look closely at their job applications, you will see that there are a number of skills that all candidates are required to have, and these are:

  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Keolis Interview Expectations

The number of interviews, in which you will have to participate, highly depends on the job you are applying for and the location of the interview. The interviews at Keolis include the following:

  • Phone interviews. Multiple phone interviews with HR representatives and department heads. These are usually preliminary screening interviews with a rather limited questioning. You will be required to go over your resume, tell about your salary requirements, work history, availability and answer some basic behavioral questions. These could last between 15-30 minutes.
  • Video interviews. There are two types of video interviews, a live one, and a pre-recorded one. A live video interview is usually conducted via Skype and is similar to an initial face-to-face interview. This type of interview can be as long as one hour. A pre-recorded video interview involves employers sending you a link to an interview platform which contains pre-determined interview questions. Here, you will have a chance to briefly view the question before you record and submit your answer.
  • Several levels of face-to-face interviews. These could be with 5-8 people and last 2 hours or more. You will be interviewed by HR, a hiring manager, your direct superior and other people who will evaluate your specific skill requirements.
  • A technical interview. In a technical interview, interviewers will be assessing the extent of your technical knowledge. This will be the knowledge base required to thrive in the job, as well as an understanding and interest in different technologies and the industry. They might also test how you can practically apply that knowledge to real working situations.
  • A panel interview. A panel interview is where you will be questioned simultaneously by multiple interviewers. Each of them will ask you questions and you will have to answer. There is a lot of pressure on candidates in these types of interviews. A panel interview can be an hour long.

Keolis’s Tests and Assessments

There are multiple tests which you will have to pass. The number and complexity of the tests are influenced by the complexity of the job you are applying for. These are some of the tests that you may encounter during Keolis’s hiring process:

  • A numerical reasoning test. A numerical reasoning test is an area which requires you to not only understand numerical information but also to make decisions and conclusions based on that information.
  • English tests. These tests aim to assess both written and spoken English. They are covering a number of topics such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Spelling and more.
  • An abstract reasoning test. An abstract reasoning, or figural reasoning, test is used to assess the ability to understand and analyze visual information through pattern recognition, as well as the ability to generate hypotheses, change tracks, and critically evaluate. By utilizing shapes and images to depict specific logic patterns and/or processes, these tests are able to measure general intelligence, abstract thinking skills, and how well you can problem solve.
  • A personality test. Personality tests measure the strengths of your traits and score them with concordance to desired traits of the position you applied for.
  • A verbal reasoning test. The logic of this test is quite different from the logic that governs most verbal reasoning tests. It greatly relies on critical thinking and pure logic, rather than simple verbal reasoning.
