What Stages Does the Hiring Process at Kaufland Include?

The recruitment process at Kaufman has several steps:

  • After you have uploaded your résumé online, you will be sent a link to an online assessment. Depending on the position for which you compete, you may be asked to take either the Personality Test, the Numerical Reasoning Test, or the Verbal Reasoning Test.
  • Good results on the test will secure you a phone interview with Kaufland’s recruiters. Be ready to answer questions about your past working experience, focusing on three most important stages outlined on your résumé and explaining what makes them so important. There may also be situational questions. You will need to propose a smart solution to a challenging situation. Note that in some cases, the phone interview may precede testing.
  • If you make a favorable impression on the Human Resources representative during your phone conversation, you will be invited for several face-to-face interviews in one of Kaufland’s branches. During your interviews, you will have an opportunity to talk with your prospective managers, team leaders, and employees working in the department where you may be placed, if hired. Questions posed on these in-person interviews are mostly competency-based. You may also receive situational and technical questions, if your position involves working with technology. Prepare also to participate in case studies that are occasionally organized for job applicants.
  • In some cases, you may also have an interview with one or two managers on FaceTime or Skype.
  • If you pass your face-to-face interviews, you may be offered a job position, after which you can start your salary negotiations.

All types of interviews at Kaufland are demanding and challenging. Do not hurt your chances of being hired by not preparing for your meeting with the company’s representatives. Go through JobTestPrep’s interview materials and arm yourself with winning answers to the most commonly asked interview questions.

What Questions Are Posed on the Interviews at Kaufland?

Kaufland’s recruiters ask job candidates questions specifically tailored to their positions. If you are applying for a role of a cashier, you will be asked a different set of questions from those received by the expander or Java developer. You are advised to go over possible technical questions relevant to your profession before you set foot in Kaufland’s interview room. And yet, there are always questions on any interview that are general and posed to most of the job candidates regardless of their profession or applied position. Below are several examples of the questions that you are likely to discuss with your interviewers at Kaufland:

  • Please describe your CV again in your own words;
  • What would your best friend answer when asked about your most annoying negative trait?
  • Do you have regular appointments during the week?
  • In which countries does Kaufland have branches?
  • What experience are you missing for the applied position?
  • For how long do you want to work at Kaufland?
  • How do you imagine the job you will be doing?
  • What expectations do you have from your job at Kaufland?
  • What would you do if too many goods arrive in the warehouse?
  • Why are you applying for this position?
  • Are you flexible during the opening hours?

Go over these and similar interview questions and formulate smart, memorable answers to them. You will also do well, if, before you come to your interview, you research about Kaufland. You may be expected to demonstrate your familiarity with the company’s history and business goals.

Tests administered at Kaufland to job applicants as a part of their pre-hire assessment vary depending on the position for which they compete. The test are typically provided by Cut-e.
