Belden Pet Nutrition CEB SHL-Style Online Tests

Numerical Reasoning Test is an online 18-question test that takes 25 minutes to complete. This test is later verified with a shorter version that is taken at the assessment center. It is designed to estimate job candidates’ ability to make decisions or inferences from statistical or numerical data. Questions on the Verify Numerical Reasoning Test are presented in the form of graphs and charts. Only instructions to them are verbally formulated. To answer the test’s questions, you will need to perform calculations and then choose a correct answer among several alternatives. As a rule, the test is offered to applicants vying for the positions in the fields of finance, professional services, production, sales, and information technology.

This CEB SHL-style test, called verbal reasoning test, contains ten passages, each passage followed by three arguments, a total of 30 arguments. These arguments are either True or False, based on the information in the passage, or that it cannot be determined if they are one of the two, without further information (Cannot Say option). To answer all the questions, the candidate will have 19 minutes. This verbal reasoning test assesses the candidate's reading comprehension capabilities: logical thinking, verbal deduction, and vocabulary. While taking the tests the candidate will improve all these aspects of verbal reasoning.

The Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) assessment was designed to give organizations an understanding of how aspects of an individual's behavioral style will affect his or her performance at work.

Belden Assessment Centre Information

Some employers have come to the conclusion that applicants’ personality and professionalism do not shine sufficiently through in interviews and even on tests. To help them demonstrate their talents more expressly and fully, many companies have opened an assessment center, where they test job candidates’ suitability for an advertised position by a combination of tasks and activities. Employers believe that assessment centres allow applicants to show a wider scope of talents than revealed on tests or during interviews. Events hosted at such assessment centres are of various lengths, ranging from half a day to two days. With many prospective employees invited to pre-employment events, job candidates for a position are usually grouped with their competitors and evaluated against their performance. There are several eliminations done during the event so that not all job candidates arrive to the final stage of the assessment involving an interview with the higher management of the company. Only those job candidates who convincingly demonstrated adaptability, analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and leadership are usually invited for the final interview that often culminates in a job offer.

How Is Belden Personality Test Evaluated?

When completing a personality test it is important you understand the nature of this test. The purpose of this assessment is to establish based on your personality and behavioural style if you will do the job, if you can do the work, and if you would actually fit the position. The questions will target work-related activities such as managing stakeholders, working in groups, complying with regulations, problem-solving, leadership skills, coping with pressure and stress. You should also determine which personality traits are important for Belden and for your desired position. For example, an HR manager’s scores are supposed to reflect her communication and organizational skills, whereas for a sales position, a competitive and initiative nature is favoured.

What is the Belden Numerical Tests Designed to Measure?

Depending on the job and profession you are seeking, you may encounter a pre-hire math test, also known as a numerical reasoning test, a quantitative reasoning test, or a numerical test. This is the most common type of aptitude test applicants can face. Test takers are assessed on their ability to understand and make decisions based on numerical data. The exam may be administered as part of an online job application, at the job site, or during an interview. However, it's important to note that there are no standard pre-employment math tests.

What Should I Expect during the Belden Recruitment Process?

The recruitment process for Belden can vary depending on the position you have applied for. After you have submitted your application you should expect to be contacted for an interview. If you pass the initial interview, the company will then request that you take one or more aptitude tests to assess your compatibility with the duties you will be performing on the job, as well as within the workplace. These tests will most likely be conducted at the Belden assessment centre alongside several other candidates.
