Altro Verbal Reasoning Tests

Verbal reasoning tests focus on drawing logical conclusions from verbal information. These tests automatically assume you understand the meanings of the words and phrases used in the text.


Altro Situational Judgement Tests

The scenarios presented on SJTs always ask for a resolution of a given conflict which, although being hypothetical, might very much rely on, or represent, realistic situations that occur in a workplace. You will then be asked to choose a preferred method of action out of a number of possible options. You are encouraged to choose your responses spontaneously, based on intuition; however, analyzing the scenarios and choosing responses that highlight your skills will allow you to better present yourself on the test. Altro Personality Tests

Being consistent is very important when taking a personality assessment test. On personality tests, you may be asked similar questions that are worded differently. If you answer these similar questions differently, it will be reflected in your results. For instance, it could appear to assessors as if you did not answer both questions completely honestly, which may result in you not getting the job. However, being consistent is not something you need to focus on, as it is not measured. It is a problem only if you significantly contradict yourself; for example, answering "agree" to "I'm never late" and "I have a tendency to be late to some meeting." At times during the test, you may encounter similar statements but not agree or disagree with all of them; in this case, it is fine to answer differently. For example, answering "agree" to both "I prefer working with people rather than working alone" and "Sometimes, I need some alone time."


Altro Microsoft Excel Assessments

A basic level Excel assessment test aims to evaluate your abilities to use this software for everyday office tasks. Most of the questions deal with basic formatting, standard tables and basic commands, such as saving and printing properties. You will also be required to know how to define a cell reference, filter and sort data, and manage the page layout.

The advanced level test requires a candidate to master the different features of the software. Most of the questions will deal with formulas, macro creation, advanced formatting, and document properties.


Altro Abstract Reasoning

Abstract reasoning requires an ability to draw assumptions and conclusions based on information supplied in the form of symbols or matrices. In such tests, you will be asked to identify a missing item or diagram that complete a certain pattern of logic, usually in the form of a matrix.

Altro Assessment Centre

The Altro assessment day consists of various types of activities all designed to evaluate how you work individually and as part of a team. The recruiter will inform you beforehand about the specific types of activities you will encounter in the assessment centre and if there is any preparation you should do. The types of tasks you should be prepared for are interviews, aptitude tests, group exercises, case studies, and role- plays.


What Activities Are Performed During the Assessment Day?

If you are invited to the Assessment Centre, you may be asked to make a short presentation on the subject given to you beforehand. You will also participate in group discussions and case studies. Other activities in which you will be invited to take part are simulation exercises and role playing. In addition, there are also individual tasks. You will need to pass tests and personality assessments and have one or two interviews with your prospective managers.

What Questions Should I Ask My Interviewers?

The importance of asking relevant questions during the interview cannot be overstated. You need to show yourself interested in the company and in your future position. Focus your questions on the employer’s expectations from you and your contribution to the company’s growth and how it will be measured. If you know you may be nervous in the interview and forget some questions you wanted to ask, prepare a list of questions at home. You will look professional and prepared, if you refer to them during your interview.
