Al Futtaim Group CEB SHL Verbal Reasoning-Style Online Tests

There are various levels of SHL CEB verbal tests. In the operational level of tests you are assessed most typically on your ability to: follow instructions, comprehend verbal passages, show technical understanding, complete sentences, as well as various other verbal related tasks. The skills are assessed on a deeper level in the graduate level tests. In order to understand how to answer the questions it is imperative you learn the skills needed. This can be done through using our specially prepared PrepPacks which give you not only the skills needed to answer the questions correctly but also the understanding of how to complete the entire test in the time allotted.

Al Futtaim Group CEB SHL Inductive Reasoning Logical-Style Online Tests

In this test you are presented with a row of figures consisting of lines, shapes, arrows, etc. You need to identify the underlying pattern of that sequence and choose the figure that would come next in the series from the available options. This type of question is highly prevalent in CEB’s SHL inductive tests, but it is possible (though not probable) to encounter other types of questions as well. For instance, you may be presented with a matrix of shapes missing a piece and be asked to identify the missing piece from the available options.

Al Futtaim Group CEB SHL OPQ32-Style Online Tests

The Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) assessment was designed to give organizations an understanding of how aspects of an individual's behavioral style will affect his or her performance at work.

There are no right or wrong answers, still you should bear in mind that your responses should mirror your professional manners. Your answers make up your profile which allows your prospective employer to decide if you fit the company and your position.

Al Futtaim Group Assessment Centre Preparation

Aiming to hire the most professional and knowledgeable people, many employers consider interviewing job applicants an insufficient means of determining their suitability for a position. Even pre-employment testing, a popular way of sifting through job candidates, does not guarantee that the right person will be hired. What largely increases chances of weeding out wrong candidates is a combination of such tasks and activities as group discussions, presentations, role playing, social events, case studies, and psychometric and various written tests. This combination is achieved at assessment centres that host pre-employment events to which prospective employees are invited to demonstrate their professional aptitude individually and in groups. The length of such pre-employment events at assessment centres varies from several hours to a couple of days. While performing different activities, job applicants are expected to show such traits as adaptability, analytical thinking, commercial awareness, creativity, leadership, and good time management. There is strict elimination at every stage of the assessment process, so not every job candidate arrives to the final interview with high managers that, if they are favorably impressed, may bring an invitation to become an employee in their organization.

JobTestPrep Answers Your Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Verbal Reasoning Test Scored?

Most of the Verbal Reasoning tests do not have a predetermined passing score. Your score is calculated in relation to the scores of other applicants who are vying for similar positions. The number of your correct answers, called raw score, is compared to raw scores of people applying for a position in your area. Such a calculating method can sometimes be disadvantageous, since your correct answers would not necessary bespeak good results. Even if you answer correctly 27 out of 30 questions, your test will not be deemed successful, if it turns out that other job candidates answered 29 questions correctly. If most of the test takers get more questions right than you do, this means that your score on the Verbal Reasoning Test is lower than the average result of your competitors.

Are there different variations of the Situational Judgement Test?

Yes, the test does come in multiple forms, such as computer or paper based. Al Futtaim Group might only use text, while others throw pictures and video clips into the mix. Still other versions might use computer-generated avatars to create a scenario, to which you must respond usually textually. It is important to note that the SJT are usually not timed, it is important to answer them in a timely and accurate manner and watch for guidelines like “this question should take 10 minutes.”

What questions the Al Futtaim Group's representatives ask in a phone interview?

After you have uploaded your résumé and cover letter onto the (COMPANY’S) website, you will have a phone interview with its Human Resources manager who will ask you questions mostly about your education, working experience, and career goals. You may also discuss the company’s business objectives, your future duties, and benefits you will be given, if you qualify for the position. If your phone interview goes well, you will receive a link to the online test that you need to pass in order to move to the next stage in the hiring process.

When Should I start Preparing for my Al Futtaim Group CEB SHL Test?

As a rule, you should start preparing yourself for the Al Futtaim Group CEB SHL as soon as possible. Preparation is key to understanding not only the structure of the test you will need to take during the Al Futtaim Group recruitment process, but also the appropriate responses to the questions that will be asked.

What does Al Futtaim Group Hiring Process entail?

According to a recent report in Forbes, the length of an interview process has almost doubled from 13 to 23 days on average. The reason for this is that the hiring process has become more comprehensive with more hoops and hurdles that applicants need to jump through. These include a range of screening methods, such as Personality, Verbal, Situational Judgement and Mathematical Reasoning along with potentially several rounds of face-to-face interviews with HR and managers at various levels in the company. As the process becomes more complex, JobTestPrep is here to give you the knowledge you need to succeed. .

How long should an applicant stay at an assessment centre?

The length of an event at an assessment centre varies from company to company. Some companies invite job candidates to their assessment centres for several hours, letting them go home in the afternoon; some organize more prolonged events that require applicants’ presence at the assessment centre for two full days. When you are invited for two days, you will be provided with accommodation in a nearby hotel. Bear in mind, however, that if you are asked to come for a full day or for two days to the company’s assessment center, this does not mean that you will stay till the end. Pre-employment events have many stages, after each of which less successful candidates become eliminated and sent home. Only most suitable applicants remain at the assessment centre until the closure of the event and have a final interview with the company’s high managers.
