AirAsia Tests

AirAsia is notorious for handing out tests to further understand their incoming employees. Depending on the job you are applying for, you will find that the tests differ, catering to the position you are applying for. For example, while you may find yourself asked technical air flight questions if you are applying as a pilot, the cabin crew will find themselves taking aptitude exams and the equivalence of an assessment centre.

For pilots, we have a special test created for you. Topics are on numerical, verbal, spatial awareness and mechanical reasoning. If you are still unsure about the test, before purchasing it, you can try a free sample, by clicking here.

Like the pilot test, we have a specialized cabin crew aptitude exam. You’ll find yourself faced with questions involving a writing, verbal and numerical reasoning exam. Likewise, during your interview, you will find yourself attending an assessment centre. This is probably the most critical test you’ll take as it is practical. You will find yourself in team building situations, taking turns role-playing events such as what to do when you have a traveller that doesn’t want to return to his seat during turbulence. In the AirAsia assessment centre, you will be watched critically to see how you will react under tremendous stress in the close quarters of an aeroplane. Don’t forget to smile!

AirAsia Hiring Process

As mentioned above, AirAsia’s application process differs depending on the position you are applying for. Below is the basis of everything you will experience:

  • Online CV Submission: Most past AirAsia job candidates have gone onto AirAsia’s main website to apply. Here, you will see a list of current positions from around the world, with detailed information on what is required, (e.g. certificates and education) to what benefits you could qualify for.
  • Pre-Employment Telephone Screening: While you could be asked various questions relating to your CV and work experience, it is likely that the telephone interview will be a time to simply set up your in-person interview.
  • Face-to-Face Interview: Each interview is structured differently depending on the job you are applying for. For example, for the cabin crew position, you will find yourself taking a verbal test, verification for your passport documents and checked via height to list a few. While other interviews may different and may be a more traditional sit-down where you are asked questions based on personality and your work experience.

AirAsia Interview Questions

Here are a few examples of what you’ll be asked as you begin your future AirAsia career. Good luck!

  • Why do you want to apply to AirAsia?
  • What is your favourite AirAsia destination and why?
  • For cabin crew: You are selling a product to a traveller. What would you say to convince them to buy it?
