Prepare for Your Aggreko Recruitment Process

You can expect your recruitment process to begin with a screening phone call from a recruiter and continue with a proper telephone interview with the hiring manager and/or a senior Business Development Manager.  Depending on your position, you can face up to four interviews with hiring managers, BDMs and engineers and finally a dinner to check how you operate in a more open environment.

Prepare for Your Aggreko Internship Interview

For a summer internship at Aggreko, the hiring team looks for employees who want real-world training in analyzing engineering proposals and application design. Moreover, you will gain hands-on experience working with cables, circuits, transformers among other various electronic distribution equipment. Your pre-hire tests will test your knowledge in Microsoft literacy, NEC knowledge and more. 

Prepare for Your Aggreko Test

 Regardless if you are vying for the Aggreko graduate scheme, internship or senior position, you will have to pass exams. Here are a few tips:


  • CEB SHL Numerical Test – This test will require you to perform calculations involving fractions, percentages, ratios, and conversions through table and graphs.
  • CEB SHL Verbal Reasoning Test - This test will be comprised of short passages, where the test taker will have to evaluate whether a statement is true, false, or indeterminable based on the text in a timely fashion.



Aggreko Interview Questions and Answers


The Aggreko Interview will be a mix of behavioral and technical questions to ensure that you are capable of handling the workload, while at the same ready to meet any office challenge, which you might encounter.


  • Q for Risk Management Position: What do you know about risk mitigation in South America?
  • A: When formulating an answer think of factors such as unemployment, fiscal crises and national governance issues. Try to look at one or two countries for your primary examples.
  • Q. Have you ever had a difficult colleague and how did you work together?
  • A: This is a question of character, try to bring real work examples and show off that you are a good communicator and facilitator.
  • Q: If a generator is having loading issues, what are the first technical issues that you would look for?
  • A: For this technical issue read up and discuss various types of generators from offshore oil platforms to more simple devices that are used at concerts.
