Practise for the AEON Hiring Process

AEON Co. is a large holding company who have about 155 subsidiaries and own over 12,000 stores. Japan's biggest supermarket chain is operated by AEON, as well as over 3,500 MINISTOP convenience stores. AEON also runs speciality chains and has a joint venue with Sports Authority. Other AEON operations consist of shopping centre development and financial services.

An outline of the AEON recruitment process is detailed below:

Application: Finishing the AEON application process can be accomplished in a few ways. Job seekers can apply online, with a campus recruiter, or register through an employee referral. Applicants are also asked to submit their CVs as well.

Telephone Interview: An HR recruiter can call applicants over the phone as the first interview stage proceeds. These screening conversations are used to assess candidates and determine their suitability based on their work experience and characteristics.

In-Person Interview: For the following stage, applicants are usually invited for an onsite face-to-face meeting, either held by a panel of employers or just one hiring team member. The AEON interview process may be performed in several stages and can include an assessment centre day for group sessions with several candidates.

Tests: Aptitude tests may be a mandatory part of the recruitment process. The psychometric testing procedure lets employers assess candidates’ cognitive abilities.

AEON's Test Preparation

Employers may conduct certain assessment and aptitude tests to evaluate one’s numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning skills. The verbal reasoning test measures one’s understanding of complex written material and passages. The numerical exam assesses an applicants’ basic comprehension of numerical data and graphs. The abstract reasoning test evaluates how one makes decisions and relates various concepts.

The situational judgement (SJT) and personality assessment both evaluate applicants’ behavioural tendencies and positive qualities relating to work-related challenges. These tests evaluate candidates’ responses to various scenarios. Employers can then make assumptions about how one may fit into the work culture and position.
