SHL offers a wide variety of verbal reasoning tests, also known simply as verbal tests, as part of their ability assessment tests.

These tests, along with numerical reasoning tests, are used in almost all selection processes since recruiters want to assess the candidate's ability to understand, analyse, and interpret written text as it is required in almost any position.

In SHL verbal reasoning tests, you are usually presented with a passage and required to evaluate a set of statements by selecting one of the following possible responses:

A – True
The statement follows logically from the information in the passage

B – False
The statement is logically false from the information in the passage

C – Cannot Say
Cannot determine whether true or false without additional information

There are additional test formats that include basic language skills such as vocabulary, logical reasoning, and more.
