There are five general stages in the RBS recruitment process although this varies from role to role:
1. RBS online application form:
You will complete an online registration form which includes uploading your CV, reflecting on your competencies and your motivations for the position.
2. RBS numerical test:
You will sometimes be asked to take an RBS numerical test, usually online. This tests is multiple choice and usually lasts 20 minutes, make sure you practice with JobTestPrep!
3. RBS competency based telephone interview:
If successful at the above stages, you will be informed about an upcoming phone interview. This should last between 30-40 minutes. More about competency-based interviews >>
4. RBS Ability Testing Centre and RBS Assessment Centre
These two stages are sometimes combined to one full day depending on your location. These stages include a presentation by RBS representatives, a paper-based numerical reasoning test, a Fastrack problem solving test, financial ABLE test, a competency-based interview, individual presentation or role-play exercise and a group exercise. You will also have the chance to meet and ask questions to current RBS employees.
